The King has aged so much. I hope he can hang on for many more years.

He has been a very busy royal figure all his life but, like many persons his age, having a full time work schedule seems to be taking a toll on him faster than when he was in his 30's or 40's. Queen Sofia, on the other hand, has aged brilliantly. The more the grand kids the more active she looks to me.

Bad Borbon genes too. The King's mother , Countess of Barcelona, had aged very badly. The King has inherited his mother's double-chin look, weight problem.

From msnbc.com written by Reuters I'm just posting the part about Juan Carlos, for the rest of the article go to Rice criticizes Spain over Cuba - Europe - MSNBC.com
"Rice’s first appointment on Friday was with King Juan Carlos, who she described as a U.S. friend. She praised his role in thwarting an attempted coup in 1981, just six years after the death of dictator Francisco Franco.
“He is obviously an important historic figure in the role that he plays in allowing the transition of Spain from authoritarianism,” Rice said."

Maybe the Borbones should consider mixing their genes with the ones of the Windsors given they have a life expectancy of 100+ years
For example, William could wait for Sofia to become old enough to marry him or what about Harry & Leonor

I do not agree. For anything the king sees itself very old for his years, on the contrary, sees itself very hard, agile assets, and even very attractive like man. It is certain that the queen is still better, she seems many years younger, but for that reason the king is not bad, specially his body, stays raised, and hard vigorous very.
