In the recent interview in Costume, PA told, that she would like to use more of her experience with the business-life. Actually Prince Henrik did a lot of those jobs in the earlier days, and afterall the man just turned 70. I think, that he will be the one to give up some of his patronages....

Benedikte never really dealt with the danish business-life.

If she will give up some of her patronages, I don't know. Afterall she has only just turned 60. I think, she likes having the connection with Denmark, which the patronages gives her.

Is that an occasion to say good bye to some of the orgs. she represents or just a regular annual get together? I wonder when she said to get back to business life, is she going back to business for personal or public purpose? She has been absent from business life for so long that I wonder whether she would find business life is not the same as what she used to. We may never get answers to these questions. 40 is a wonderful year to be reflective and move life in a different direction, and I hope she succeeds what she lays out to do.

Princess Alexandra recently told in an interview (my own translation):

BTW, who is Hans Chirstian Andersen?? Why do they need to cerebrate his 200th anniversary in China?

I am wondering why doesn't her prince go with her? Alex has done alot of things for the royalty.

Hans Christian Anderson was an author who wrote a lot of books for children. Too bad most of our modern society doesn't remember the old authors anymore.

Hans Christian Anderson lived in Odense, Denmark ... and at one time in my past, I visited his too, just like the Royal Crown Princely Couple will do too, later this month.

Next year it will be 200 years since he was born? / died ? ..... and given his prolific contribution to society .... and the fact that he came from a small country, he will be substantially honoured along the auspices of "if we package this well, the return on investment will be terrific".

The reason China will be celebrating this too .... is because Joachim has an eye on the future of small Denmark, and saw to it that he "fell in love with a ladie of Chinese extraction" ... and with China becoming the rolling force in world economics for the next time to come, it is in the best interests of China to recognize a link to respectable Europe.

Trust that provides a lead-in to some questions you might have had ....

I don't like the hair either Paulette. That particular style makes her appear older than she is. I think that it would be better suited for a woman in her mid-fifties, not somone who just turned forty.

I've been off line for weeks now, but I don't think I have missed much. I don't Alexandra's new haircut either, it makes her look about 5 years older, when before she looked 5 years younger. :P Did anyone else know that Alexandra cut her trip short with Joachim and the boys, just so she could go to China with the choir?

I think it's because this trip to China isn't an official trip of hers maybe she would just accompany the choir. Or I am wrong?????

That is such an immense act from the princess.

Imagine, she has to decrease the number of days she would spend vacationing with her family just to give chance to accompany the Danish Radio Girl Choir to China.

I find her interesting because she changes hair styles and clothes colors and coordinates boldly. Unlike some sport a particular hair style for a century (OK, exaggeration, but you get my point). Look at queen elizabeth, sophia, silvia, and younger ones like elena, even maxima. Hair seems to be a sticking point that's just so inflexible, they look always the same. Boring.

by the way, princess martha of norway is also interesting because of creative with alot of things including hair.
