Yes, but if they post photos or news on the website, why not post them on social media too...?? I assume, that with facebook and instagram, many more people would see the news, compared to people who actually enter the website to check for news and photos.
I am not on social media, but if I was, I would give feedback on their facebook page.
And also about adding the news in English. Lots of people have asked for it.

Thank you it's not only me who is irritated. I thought the point of the Facebook/Instagram pages was to bring out to the ordinary Danish people how many events/meetings the DRF have. But yes - Frederik has had events every day of the week - and only 2 of them have the DRF bothered bringing on Facebook. What is the meaning of the Facebook page then?
They are not better with Margrethe's, Mary's or Benedikte's events this week.
In addition, yes good coverage og all Frederik's events in the media yes. But the DRF Facebook/Instragram lagging. It started good... Also with personal touch as Mary posting her own iPhone video. Please continue this way.
Otherwise, they might as well have leave it to not go on social media.

Today, Crown Prince Frederik presented scholarships from Crown Prince Frederik Fund.
In Frederik VIII's Palace, Amalienborg.
The Foundation supports studies in the social sciences for one year of study at Harvard Kennedy School - JF Kennedy School of Government.

Summary of article in Billed Bladet #24, 2016.
Written by golf-reporter Ulrik Ulriksen.
As you recall Frederik went to the harbor recent to feed the fish...
Well, actually he went there as the Danish member of IOC and purpose was to put focus on the Danish golf-players going to Rio for the Olympics.
So along with two professional players, Søren Kjeldsen and Thorbjørn Olesen, Frederik took up position 25 meters from the hole, placed out in the water.
First Frederik tried an iron from 1904. - But you know, people were shorter back then and stuff...
Then he tried a hyper-modern iron. - But there appears to have been fault in the manufacturing because try as he might, Frederik couldn't put any of the golfballs made from compressed fish-fodder.
Okay! Then he took the balls by hand and began to toss them and finally he got a hole-in-one.
But Frederik also sailed out on the occasion of World Ocean Day. He strolled from Amalienborg down to the harbor from where he went sailing aboard a sailing boat along with the Minister for Environment and Foodstuff Esben Lunde Larsen and Henrik Beha Larsen from Plastic Change.
Plastic Change has been the recipient of a grant from M&F and their aim is to investigate and monitor the huge islands of plastic-soup in the Pacific.

As we know Frederik always has Greenland close to his heart, today via the DRF Facebook page he has sent a greeting to Greenland for their national day.
"A warm*greeting to*everyone in*Greenland*on*the national day.
HRH*The*Crown Prince*sends a greeting*and*this*photo that*the Crown Prince*had*taken
during his visit to*Ilulissat*earlier this year."

And another surprise visit, from the DRF Facebook
H.K.H. Crown Prince Frederik has just visited the American aircraft carrier USS Harry Truman who currently find themselves in the Mediterranean.
In his short visit the prince was able to experience the ship which is currently on a mission, but also the base for more than 6.000 crew members.

What on earth is Frederik doing down there?
No Danish ships based there at the moment.
Sailing perhaps?
Or on holiday with the family?

I'm thinking maybe the family is vacationing somewhere near . Frederik had an event on Saturday and will have one this Friday July 1st, but the kids are on vacation and Mary's calendar is clear for the moment.
In the event with the new helicopters, wasn't there a US general there, maybe Frederik got an invite to the ship?

Frederik was part of a Danish delegation lead by Rufus Gifford, the U.S Ambassador to Denmark. This was Sunday.

There is a large naval exercise taking place in the Pacific near Hawaii, with 26 nations participating. Denmark is one of them, so at least one of your ships is there.
www.public.navy.mil/surfor/Page 26-Nations-to-Participate-in-worlds-largest-maritime-exerciseaspx#V3J1fWretr. If that ridiculously long link doesn't work, you can access it via the Huffington Post, US edition - politics section.
Since we're off-topic anyway, it sounds as though the Olympics in Rio are beset with problems. Since Frederik is a member of the IOC, is he getting any flak about this? I wonder if he voted for Rio.

Thanks, MidwestMom.
There are always someone who knows...
No he isn't.
Partly I think because he can't be held responsible for the mess in Rio, and partly because it's the holiday season, and partly again because other news dominate right now.

How exciting to be invited onto an aircraft carrier. I know I wouldn't turn it down.
