Thanks Polyesco It will be Zealand's largest national park which Frederik will inaugurates today. Unfortunately, today it's cloudy rainy weather, it had been beautiful if the sun had shone at such a event.

Here are the first pictures from when Frederik arrived by boat to Roskilde harbour - practically and warm dressed as our otherwise fine spring weather today has been replaced by gray cloudy weather - It didn't prevent many people and high spirits at the port.

Frederik should be very familiar with the water in Roskilde Fjord! The Frogman Corps had it's base there (not sure if they still do) and Frederik would have swam many nautical miles in that fjord during his training. It's quite normal for Frogmen to be dropped in the water up to several kilomters from land and then swim towards shore in a four man team dragging a weapons container between them.
The water is cold most of the year and there a lots of strong currents in Danish waters, which some tourists learn the hard and final way each year..., so the Frogmen often swim ten kilometers even before hitting the beach!
With the mandatory camouflage net over their heads they have an astonishing similarity to seals popping up for a look, even in broad daylight.

Yes and a somewhat more exciting and interesting way to inaugurate a national park than just give a speech and cut a ribbon.
A pity we hadn't time to meet up at the harbor or at Ledreborg Castle. It was a fun day I heard from my acquaintances (despite the rather cold weather) and easy to get close and saying a 'hi' to Frederik.

Tomorrow Frederik helps launch new vision for Danish sports: DIF / DGI Vision 25-50-75.
"The goal of the vision is to get 600,000 more Danes to exercise sport this year 2025th
The target is that 50 percent of Danes are members of a sports club, and 75 percent of the population is physically active. At the start of the project status was that 41 percent of the population was a member of a sports club and 68 percent were active in sports."
DIF | Vision 25 50 75
A very good objective i think

Cutting ribbons is not an easy thing!
Frederik went to the island of Bornholm to inaugurate the Green Solution House hotel and conference center Kronprinsens gode råd blev overhørt | Nyhederne
Several were to cut the ribbon at the same time and Frederik advised them to remember to hold the ribbon with one hand while cutting: "Hold on with your left hand. I have a lot of experience in this".
But, as you can see, it ain't easy!

Just watched the early TV2 evening news - both Frederik and Mary's events were covered.
Frederik was also interviewed in the clip. Would he, Mary and children like to maybe stay at the new hotel next time they visit Bornholm? Yes, they would... and with a wink in the eye.. nooo the green park should be finished first... He also told that Amalienborg is 'greener' than many think.

BB video from today. More charming if you understand Danish (Polyesco, Gerry?). But Frederik joked when the red ribbon was to be cut.
All 9 persons lined up in one long row - ready to cut. Frederik explains pedagogical: - "Hold on with your left hand like this. I have a lot of experience in this..."

thanks Roskilde
a very cheerful afternoon. But of course Frederik does light up the room : D
i think with the renovations at Amalienborg a focus was placed on being as 'green" as possible
another BB article
Kronprins Frederik til stor fest på Bornholm | Billed Bladet
"- It's a great day for Bornholm, and I have come here because it's an exciting and sustainable project. A gift to the people of Bornholm, which has been interest from around the world, said Frederick, among other, before he wanted the island congratulations and stated the hotel and conference center officially opened."
