They were at the Göteborg (Gothenburg) Horse Show!?! Oh my word, I watched it on tv and I think I might know people who were there, but I didn't see them or haven't heard anything about it. Too bad. Perhaps they were there to support the Danes competing in the World Cup's Western European League's finals; Linnea Ericsson, Tomas Velin and Tina Lund (not that their support helped much... ).
If the Swedish royal children wouldn't have been at another location, his would've been the perfect time and place to meet them too, as old horse people - Princess Madeleine would've loved it I'm sure, and so would Crown Princess Victoria...

I don't think they will make the Queen's birthday..
Crown Prince Frederik attended the opening ceremony of HRH The Crown Prince attends the opening ceremony of a Round table meeting for European Ombudsmen at Christiansborg to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Danish Ombudsman Institution.
Here are a few pictures from Polfoto:

From COLOURPRESS: Princess Laurentien and Crown Princess Mary attend a Gala dinner at Kronborg Castle in Elsinore, north of Copenhagen, to mark 400 years of diplomatic relationships between the kingdoms of Denmark and The Netherlands.

Great pictures! If you look at Mary and Laurentian separately, they look lovely, but if you look at them together, they look like they swapped lipsticks.

I find Laurentien dress flattering on her. She looks quite vibrant! As for Mary's dress, though she looks lovely I don't think the dress is flattering.

I am amazed! A gala dress I have actually seen Mary wearing before? I do think she looks loveley though, although the dressit is not one of my favourites. I just feel there is something missing with it.

I really like Laurentien's dress. It is very flattering and is a wonderful color on her. I think if Mary wrapped the silk or sating ribbons on her gown as they were done on the model (picture is in another thread...I'll have a look for it) it would look better. The way it is wrapped now is not very flattering.
Here's the link to the photo of the gown worn by the model at Alexander McQueen's show. Originally posted by Alexandria. http://www.theroyalforums.com/forums...chmentid=88707

I think the dress looked better with the longer ribbon, but it's understandable why she had to shorten the ribbon. I think the dress looks quite regal on her although it isn't my fav dress. I didn't like it the first time I saw it, but like many of her outfits, it grew on me.

The dress doesn't look too bad when you see it in full length but that choice of colour always brings to mind the image of a Cadbury chocolate bar...hehe

Mary's dress is a repeat from her Australian trip. Laurentien's dress looks like the dress Letizia wore to Mary's wedding!
