King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima Attend Koningsdag Concert

Ahead of the upcoming Koningsdag celebrations that will take place on April 27, this evening, Monday April 11, Their Majesties King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima were present at the annual Koningsdag Concert. This year’s concert was held at the Theater aan het Vrijthof in Maastricht, in the province of Limburg.
Theme of the concert is “the sounds of the city of Maastricht and its cultural environment” and the performers of the evening were: cellist Eline Hensels, violinist Liza Ferschtman, carillonneur Frank Steijns and pianist brothers Lucas and Arthur Jussen. The concert was organized in colalboration with the South Netherlands Philharmonic and Opera Zuid.
The Koningsdag Concert is a tradition since 1985 and since 2014 the concert is held in the province where the Royal Family celebrates Koningsdag.
