On August 8, Prince George and Princess Charlotte watched their parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, compete in The King’s Cup Sailing Regatta on the Isle of Wight.

The royals were competing against Bear Grylls, who won the competition and was presented with The King’s Cup trophy. Other famous faces competing at the regatta were comedian John Bishop and Olympic rower Helen Glover.

Kate’s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, were also watching their daughter and son-in-law at the event, and looked after their two grandchildren in the crowds.

Each famous competitor was competing for a chosen charity. The Duke of Cambridge had chosen Child Bereavement UK as his charity, whilst footballer Fara Williams had chosen Centrepoint, TV presenter Dan Snow had chosen the London Air Ambulance, whilst Bear Grylls had chosen the Tusk charity. The Duchess of Cambridge had chosen to compete for the Royal Foundation, whilst John Bishop was competing for Action on Addiction.
