Queen Máxima Opens the Bio-Fair in Zwolle

This afternoon, Her Majesty Queen Máxima was present at the opening of the organic trade fair Bio-Fair organized at the convention center IJsselhallen in Zwolle, in the northeastern Netherlands.

Upon her arrival, the Queen was welcomed by Boele Staal, commissioner of the King in the Province of Overijssel, and Jan Brink, Deputy Mayor of Zwolle.

The Queen, along with Carola Schouten, Minister of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality, was given a guided tour of the fair and was informed about the new developments in the field of ecologically responsible products, organic farming and concrete solutions offers by organic agriculture and food for social issues such as climate change and biodiversity.

The Bio-Fair is the most important national trade fair for those who work in the organic sector and more than 350 companies and exhibitors will be present. During the fair, farmers, catering entrepreneurs and researchers will met to learn about new organic products and services and attend workshops, presentations, and cooking demonstrations with organic products.

The Bio-Fair, open has been organized since 2015 by the companies Bionext and Libema.
