A Six-Hour Hike? Not a Royal Problem for William and Kate While in Bhutan

Completing a six-hour, five-mile long hike up to the Tiger’s Nest monastery in Bhutan, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were both awed by the natural beauty of the region.

“I feel very lucky and fortunate to see such beautiful scenery,” Kate said during a brief press meeting at the conclusion the hike, while William agreed, saying that while “it was quite tough on the way up…this is absolutely stunning.”

The pair were guided by monks as they made the trek to the monastery, stopping at a half-way point to spin prayer wheels and pose for photographs.

They also made some small purchases from a craft market before leaving the mountain: William bought a small bronze tiger while Kate bought herself a pair of earrings.
