Prince Nicolae of Romania Visits The Netherlands

Between June 26 and July 3, Prince Nicolae of Romania, the second in line to the former Romanian throne, undertook an official visit to the Netherlands.

Prince Nicolae visited the Dutch Romanian community on June 26, where the Romanian ambassador to the Netherlands Ireny Comaroschi hosted a reception for the Prince.

Throughout the visit Prince Nicolae carried out visits and attended seminars in Amsterdam, Delft, Dieren, Nijmegen and Eindhoven which were also attended by Dutch representatives of Romania. Attending with the Prince were representative from the Romanian local authorities of Deva, Sibiu, Hunedoara, Timisoara, Constanta and Sinaia.

Queen Anne of Romania was born a Princess of Bourbon-Parma, who have links to the Dutch Royal Family through Princess Beatrix’s sister Princess Irene, as she married the previous Duke of Parma.
