Madeleine and Chris Visit Gävle

Princess Madeleine and Christopher O’Neill today paid a visit to Gävle, one of the main cities in the Princess’s Duchy of Gästrikland.

The day began with a lunch hosted by the Governor of Gävleborg County, Barbro Holmberg, at Gävle Castle. It was attended by around 50 guests from the county, who have contributed in sports, culture or industry. Among the guests were Olle and Ewa Westling, the parents of Prince Daniel, who were greeted by Madeleine and Chris with warm hugs. The luncheon ended with a chocolate tasting.

It was then on to the ESRI Group, where the couple were informed of the work the company does in managing software for geographic information systems. The trip ended with a visit to the Helges recreation centre, which features a number of spaces for youth activities including sport and fitness, dance, language and music.
