Here's a video from the Earthshot Prize Awards Ceremony this evening
Today, November 2, the Duke of Cambridge attended a meeting hosted by Michael Bloomberg at the Science Centre in Glasgow "between Earthshot Prize winners and finalists and industry leaders from the Earthshot Global Alliance who can help their ideas into practice":

It is a great idea as it will also help give the prize winners networking contacts to help drive their initiatives forward.
I hope the Duke has learned his lesson about being critical of public figures- namely very rich ones. Earlier, William was critical of Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk for promoting their space projects.
Yet surprisingly William met with Jeff Bezos and discussed the Earthshot prizes and funding. Quite hypocritical. Another instance of "money talks".

Absolutely. So the original genesis of this is to try to capture the ingenuity and the problem solving and the ambition of the Moonshot. And so based on JFK’s idea to get a man on the moon all those years ago and all the technology and all the advancements that came out of trying to get a man on the moon, like solar panels, CAT scanners, all that sort of stuff, we are trying to galvanize and push solutions forwards.

And I think for me particularly, the idea the space race is on at the moment, we’ve seen everyone trying to get space tourism going. It’s the idea that we need some of the world’s greatest brains and minds fixed on trying to repair this planet, not trying to find the next place to go and live. And I think that ultimately is what sold it for me, is that that really is quite crucial. We need to be focusing on this one rather than giving up and heading out into space to try and think of solutions for the future.
Adam: (03:27)
Having said that, though, would you like to be a space tourist one day?
Prince William : (03:30)
Do you know what? I have absolutely no interest in going that high. I’m a pilot, but I’m helicopter pilot, so I stay reasonably close to the ground. I’ve been up to 65,000 feet once in a plane, and that was truly terrifying and that’s high enough.
I respectfully disagree that he was "critical of Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk for promoting their space projects." IMO William just believes that the priority should be focused upon earth at this point in time. However that doesn't mean that there can't be a partnership between Earthshot and these potential investors. If the investors didn't wish to be in Glasgow, they could have easily decided to decline the invitation.
