Given that there is just one week to go before he makes his vows with long-time partner Camilla Parker Bowles, Prince Charles was no doubt expecting a little interest from onlookers when he took slopes of Klosters in the Swiss Alps. But for once the heir to the throne was not the centre of everybody's attention, because on Wednesday afternoon all eyes were on his son's pretty companion Kate Middleton.

The girl who is said to have captured William's heart joined her dashing prince and his family for a bit of snowy fun this week. After spending the morning with the Prince of Wales, the pair headed off for some quality time together before meeting up with the rest of the party for lunch.

Kate and Wills did their best to avoid the press pack by walking to the piste separately, but there was no disguising their affection for one another when they sat together for the afternoon meal.

It is the second year in a row that Kate has joined the family for their annual Alpine break. The 22-year-old, who shares a house with William in the Scottish town of St Andrews, where they are both students, became close to him after they met in their first year at the university. And although their future together will depend largely on what happens after they finish their studies this summer, for now their relationship seems to be going from strength to strength.

And Wills' relationship with his father seems equally robust. As next week's wedding - at which William is to serve as a witness - approaches, both siblings put on show of solidarity when they posed for pictures at the resort with Charles. With his hand placed warmly on his parent's knee, Wills left photographers in little doubt about his affection for the future king.

The popular royal made it clear that he doesn't anticipate tying the knot

Prince William has taken time out from his family holiday in Klosters to give a candid interview about his personal life. Speaking to a journalist in the Alpine ski resort, the heir to the throne spoke openly about his much talked about relationship with fellow student Kate Middleton.

Asked whether he might follow in his father's footsteps by taking a walk down the aisle, Wills insisted he was in no hurry to make his vows. "Look, I'm only 22 for God's sake," he affirmed. "I am too young to marry at my age. I don't want to get married until I'm at least 28 or 30."

The second in line also opened his heart about the media pressure on his younger brother. "Harry's a great lad," he said. "He gets such a hard time from the press. The image people have of him is nothing like the real thing. He's young and very fun loving. You only have to look at how popular he is to see how people who know him adore him."

Wills went on to reveal his sibling had a hard time coping with the constant interest in his relationship with South African student Chelsy Davy. "He's just a young lad who's madly in love," explained the handsome royal.

Does anyone have the full interview The Sun had with him today? I heard he talked pretty openly about Kate throughout the whole thing. Also spoke of his excitement for his father's wedding.

Does anybody know when will Prince William graduate?Because i just read some mails from the British Royalty Groups from yahoo,it is said that Prince William will accompany with the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh on all official engagements after he graduates. That will be so great.

I know that William finishes up at St. Andrews in May or his exams are in May but I haven't heard anything about him taking up official engagements with the Queen and Prince Philip. I think that is highly unlikely...but you never know.

very like her mother.

Wills is going to be the Queen's escort when he finishes college. They announced it, so it's official. I think it'll just be when Philip doesn't feel like going. Or maybe Philip is going to cut back or quit his engagements with the Queen now that he's getting older.

The way I read it was that William will accompany the Queen on some engagements this summer. This is how she introduced Charles and Anne into public engagements in the 1960s and early 1970s. It does seem though that William is being introduced at a much older age than either of them.

It won't be the start of full time public engagements though as he is supposed to be following Harry to Sandhurst. That would indicate to me at least three more years before full time royal duty beckons as that is the minimum term for a commissioned officer (Short Term Commission). He could opt for a longer term commission and put off duty full time royal duties for a much longer period of time.

Prince William took some serious knocks on the pitch this past weekend as girlfriend Kate Middleton cheered him on from the sidelines.

The Prince of Wales' elder son demonstrated his athletic skills during a rugby tournament at St Andrews, tackling – and tumbling – with the best of them.

Kate, who is also a student at the Scottish university, was spotted taking in the action with a pair of female pals.

And apparently watching the handsome royal get physical on the field helped Kate work up an appetite.

The pretty 22-year-old, who recently returned from a ski trip with the Royal Family, took a break from the match, standing with her casually-dressed friends as she snacked on a hamburger.

Princes William and Harry to get new secretary
(AP)

1 May 2005

LONDON - Prince William and Prince Harry are getting a new private secretary this week to guide them in their royal duties.

Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton, a former equerry to the princes’ late great-grandmother, Queen Mother Elizabeth, is joining Clarence House as the brothers’ key aide, royal officials said.

The ex-Army officer, who was educated at the prestigious Eton College, will start work on Tuesday, as Harry, 20, prepares to enter Sandhurst military college next weekend.

He is expected to be particularly helpful to William, 22, when he finishes his degree at St. Andrew’s University in Scotland later this year.

Clarence House said William, Harry, and their father Prince Charles made the decision to appoint Lowther-Pinkerton together.

The new royal aide will work closely with Sir Michael Peat, Charles’s private secretary, and Helen Asprey, personal secretary to William and Harry, who organizes their diaries.

As the princes grow older and assume more royal duties, Lowther-Pinkerton will advise them about which engagements to take on, and what charities to support.

Lowther-Pinkerton is married and has three children. He served with Britain’s crack unit, the Special Air Service, in the first Persian Gulf War. He was the queen mother’s equerry from 1984-86.

Lowther-Pinkerton left the Army in 1998 after 20 years’ service and now runs a company providing safety awareness and training to students planning to travel abroad.

Clarence House said Lowther-Pinkerton will work for the princes for 2 1/2 days a week.

Prince William to Join Lions Tour in New Zealand in July 2005 (Monday, 16 May 2005)http://javascript:void windo...=640,height=480,directories=no,location=no');
william%20rugby.jpg

Prince William has been invited by the British and Irish Lions rugby team to join them on their tour to New Zealand in July 2005.

While he is there, the Prince will also undertake two official engagements representing Her Majesty The Queen in Wellington and Auckland at events to commemorate the end of the Second World War.

The invitation to support the Lions came from Sir Clive Woodward, Head Coach of the touring party, and is for the Prince to spend time with them in the build-up to the second and third Tests against New Zealand, and attend both games.

Sir Clive said: "I am delighted that Prince William will be spending some time with us. It will be a great boost for the team as he is a great supporter of the game. He is going to be with the team for certain periods and it all adds to the sense of occasion around these key Tests."

Prince William, who is currently studying for his final examinations at St Andrew's University, will join the Lions squad for the second and third Test matches in Wellington and Auckland, at the beginning of July.

It's Just William on tour

By DUNCAN LARCOMBE
Royal Reporter

RUGBY-MAD Prince William makes his first solo royal engagement next month on the British Lions tour of New Zealand.

The Prince will celebrate the end of his university exams with the Lions after manager Sir Clive Woodward invited him as a birthday present.

Wills — 23 next month — may even join players at training sessions.

But he will also represent the Queen at events marking the end of World War Two.

A Lions spokesman said: “Sir Clive has his eyes on a hands-on role for William. He is delighted and wants to get his hands dirty.”

The Prince will jet out hours after graduating from St Andrews University on June 21.

He will arrive in New Zealand for the second test against the All Blacks on July 2 and final match on July 9.

The Prince will meet the Lions team, made up of Britain’s top union players, including Jonny Wilkinson.

Brother Prince Harry, 20, will be green with envy because he cannot take time off from his gruelling military course at Sandhurst. A source said: “Watching his rugby heroes play is the perfect way to recover from exam hell. It’s kept William going through his revision.

“But Harry is probably the bigger rugby fan and is so sensitive about it that Wills has agreed not to mention the tour in front of him.”

Wills will not take girlfriend Kate Middleton but could be joined by a male pal. Sir Clive said William will be a “great boost” for his team. The Prince’s spokesman said: “William is really looking forward to going to New Zealand.”

Prince William will perform his first solo engagements

Prince William will join the Lions rugby team on their summer tour of New Zealand, it has been announced.

He will spend time with the players while they train in July before watching their second and third test matches against the All Blacks.

The prince, 22, will perform his first solo engagements representing the Queen on the trip after leaving university.

He will mark the anniversary of the end of World War II at ceremonies in Wellington and Auckland.

William, who is studying for his geography finals at St Andrews University, was invited to support the British and Irish Lions by coach Sir Clive Woodward, Clarence House said.

'Great boost'

He will join World Cup winning heroes including Jonny Wilkinson and Laurence Dallaglio.

Mike Tindall, the boyfriend of the prince's cousin Zara Phillips, is a doubt for the tour because of injury.

British Lions

Sir Clive said he was "delighted" the prince would be spending time with the team.

"It will be a great boost for the team as he is a great supporter of the game," he said.

"He is going to be with the team for certain periods and it all adds to the sense of occasion around these key tests."

A spokeswoman for the Lions said Sir Clive had a "hands-on role" planned for William.

"William has indicated that he is absolutely delighted to be joining us and that he wants to get his hands dirty," he said.

"He could be involved in training, setting up - all manner of things."

Series of firsts

The prince's spokesman Paddy Harverson said William was "a big fan" of rugby and was "really looking forward" to the tour. "He's proud to be representing the Queen at events to mark the end of World War II," he added. The prince's appearance at memorial services to commemorate the end of the war will represent his first ever solo engagements, his first official representations of the Queen and his first engagements abroad. He will not be accompanied by girlfriend Kate Middleton.

i got news from Sundaymail.co.uk about Prince William will have golf record and include his Uncle Prince Andrew,Duke of York if you read that articles about that and also pictures too if have? check it out!

PRINCE TO SWING IN FOR GOLF RECORD

PRINCE William is set to take on two former football stars in a bid for a golfing record.
Bosses at St Andrews Bay Golf Resort want to sign up Wills and his uncle Prince Andrew to help them claim the record for the most players in a medal event in one day.

But ex-Old Firm players Arthur Numan and Tom Boyd will be helping a bid to nick the record at Bellshill Golf Club in Lanarkshire.

St Andrews are confident of winning the 22-year-old prince's support, as he regularly plays the Fife course.

The record bid - set to raise £40,000 for Scottish charities - takes place on June 18, just days before he is due to graduate from the town's university.

St Andrews set the current record two years ago when 491 players took part, with Olympic hero Sir Steve Redgrave sinking the final putt.

Bellshill Golf Club's attempt on the record will see 500 people descend on the course.

A spokesman for the St Andrews event said: 'We hope William and the Duke of York will be able to help, as their support would encourage the numbers we need.'

The St Andrews contest will see attempts on at least 12 golfing records, including longest golf shot caught, longest putt and longest drive
