Thanks. A really interesting read and my guess is that he expresses the thoughts of many among the Spanish nobility/upper class. Most will not be willing to say so but clearly he is willing to defend his former father-in-law and, at least in his opinion, in doing so the monarchy.
 
His brother the Count and his family cheered on the king and queen during a recent visit.
 
King Juan Carlos was very kind to Jaime and the royal family protected him immensely especially around the events surrounding Jaime's stroke. He is indebted to the King really

It is hardly surprising that Don Jaime, like most members of the Spanish nobility, would be a staunch monarchist.



In any case, it looks like most of JC's troubles came rather late in his reign, long after the heroic period in the 1970s and 1980s when he was busy rebuilding the kingdom as Don Jaime said.
 
And of course he hardly talked but just kept walking away (rather unstable). It seems the reason he didn't go into the car with her is that he was smoking and wanted to finish his cigarette...
 
I've never really thought much of that magazine or any of its articles.
 
What is he supposed to say? If VF is breaking the law, she should be punished like everyone else. She's an adult and responsible for her own actions.
 
Was the Squatch accident the reason of the Divorce or had he already a bad character before. His 2 children seem not to be easy!

I think he's had bad health problems, when he was still married to Elena he had a stroke and almost died, it seems after that his character changed not for the better. Technically he has nothing to do with the RF but is of course still associated with them. Both VF and Felipe have a bad relationship with the press, their 'mistakes' are pointed out in the media on a regular basis.
