I liked the clutch but the dress was a bit inapropriate for this kind of reception IMO. The perfect occasion ti wear it was indeed A&C' wedding back in July 2011

inappropriate? In what way? Because, let me tell you, far worse than a one shoulder gown has been worn to the Representatives Dinner in the past.

Is this the same dress that Victoria wore in Monaco??

If so, I absolutely loved the way it was worn:

Compared to this week's event, it looks incredibly frumpy:

as if had been in the wash and not been properly drycleaned.

Do you mean the bust area looks a bit too lose? I thought that when I sew the pictures that the dress top part didn't fit so nicely but ignoring that she looked good.

yes, the top part looks lose and frumpy, as does the skirt part. The monaco appearance was superpolished, I don't know what happened to the dress, the fabric looks worn out.

I guess it's her chest that has changed. It does that after having a kid, you know :p

It gives me a summery vibe and I think it was better for a summer wedding dinner as it was in july 2011... It just didn't fit the setting IMO. The fact that it was one shoulder doesn't matter to me

It is the dry cleaning's fault and bad material !

For Mathilde and Maxima , Natan's materials are often frumpy...

I think you're comparing photographs and not the gown. :flowers: JMO. The two photographs are taken from a different angle and the lighting in both is massively different. In Monaco the camera flash (in the dark) washes out the details of the fabric, while the indoor photo, far more up close and at a level, reveals far more detail, to disadvantage according to the comments here. JMO.

I like the gown in both instances, though in terms of a prize-worthy photo, the Monaco photo wins hands-down. Photo-shop touch-ups are also possible. ;) Victoria looks far more vibrant in the Monaco photo - tan helps - which impacts the 'sell' of the clothes. This is a perfect example of the 'sell' factor. To me the gown sits the same on her in both photos.

When I looked at this earlier all I really considered wat the colour, hair, tiara and jewels. So now, looking at the whole effect . . . Yikes! At the very least it needed pressing but, either it stretched in the wash or, more likely, I think Victoria may have actually lost weight. There's more of the skirt lying on the ground.

Or, it stretched; she wore it for Prince Andreas' birthday celebration in June 2013, where we see that it's baggy round the bust, the pleats in the chiffon all over had lost it's tension.

Wow, if her best friend didn't tell her, surely her mother would!

I think she lost weight + her chest area has "relocated" a little since having Estelle. Totally normal, but maybe not pretty in this dress.

I love the colours and they're very 'Victoria', but I'm not a fan of the belt. It looks awkward and clunky with the dress, which is quite flowy and elegant. I think her tiara is alright, but I like it with her hairstyle.

:previous:This is the same dress that Victoria wore on October 22, 2014. But the colour looks so different! It must be the lighting.

Yes, Victoria looked perfect on Friday! Green suits her very much and I've always liked that dress too. I also like the"fascinator" she wore... It is absolutely flattering on her! Much more than a big and majestic tiara IMO. Let me add that I also think hwr make-up was excellent.

Victoria looks great! Green suits her a lot. The hairpiece is a bit much for me, but Victoria manages to make it work somehow.

Vitoria looked quite good but the hairpiece ruins it for me, its just a piece that does not go with such a dress, It would look great with a ballgown or a grander dress or even a simple plain dress.

This style really does work for Victoria. The gown is so elegant that I don't really mind the colour, not being a fan of green, but the depth of the colour seems quite special and certainly suits Victoria.

The aigrette is not a really attractive ornament, unlike the delicate and elegant, Orange-Nassau "Ears of Wheat". It's nondescript shape has little to recommend it, but against Victoria's hair, it looks quite special.

Looks like a very pretty dress, like the texture and fit. Could have used a bit more up top, earrings, hair, necklace or something.

The white dress is beautiful and elegant.
