According to tradition, the public is given the opportunity to congratulate the King on the occasion of the Jubilee, on congratulation lists. The lists are presented in the Commandant's Wing (the wing between the Royal Palace and the Stockholm Cathedral) on September 13 and 14 at 10.00-13.00.

The Royal Opera's Jubilee performance at Drottningholm Palace Theatre
For invited guests, consisting of the Royal family, Nordic royal guests, the other Nordic Heads of State, the government and party chairmen as well as the governors and representatives of authorities, academia, business, royal academies, culture and media and more, The Royal Opera gives on Thursday evening a Jubilee performance at Drottningholm Palace Theatre in honor of HM the King. The Royal Ballet, the Royal Swedish Orchestra, the Royal Opera's choir and soloists take part in the performance.

The Royal Cemetery open
To be given the opportunity to visit Gustaf VI Adolf's grave, the Royal Cemetery in Haga park is open to the public on September 15 at 11.00-15.00.

Te Deum
Te Deum is an old church ceremony that takes place in royal contexts at major events such as anniversaries and other solemn occasions. During the thanksgiving service, the Royal Family, Nordic royal guests, the other Nordic Heads of State, representatives of the government, party chairmen, representatives of religious communities and the serving and non-serving Royal Court are present.

The Change of the Royal Guards
At 12.00 a salute is fired from Skeppsholmen by the 1st Marine Regiment. Afterwards, HM the King, together with HRH Prince Carl Philip, attends the changing of the guard when the Life Squadron from the Life Guard replaces the Life Company from the Life Guard. The Royal Swedish Army Band, The Swedish Mounted Band of the Royal Lifeguards and the Royal Swedish Navy Band will perform during the ceremony.

Musical Tribute
The Royal Swedish Academy of Music, in collaboration with Sjungande barn, arranges after the changing of the guard a musical tribute in honor of HM the King. The musical tribute is performed by the Radio Choir, Västerås gosskör Choir, children's choirs from Linköping's music classes and youth choirs from Lars-Erik Larssongymnasiet in Lund and Boden's music classes.

During the evening, the King gives a speech to the people of Sweden via Sveriges Television.

Jubilee dinner
On Friday, HM the King will give an Jubilee dinner at the Royal Palace. Among the invited guests is the Royal Family, the Nordic Heads of State and heirs to the throne with spouses, representatives of the Riksdag, the government, party chairmen, governors, representatives of authorities, the Armed Forces, academia, business, culture and media, the royal academies, foundations, religious communities and the Royal Court. The dinner ends with musical entertainment.

September 16
Cortege through Stockholm
On Saturday, TM the King and Queen travel in horse-drawn cortege through central Stockholm.
The cortege route with horse and carriage is: Slottsbacken, Skeppsbron, Strömbron, Kungsträdgårdsgatan, Hamngatan, Sveavägen, Tegnérgatan, Birger Jarlsgatan, Nybroplan and Nybrokajen. From Hovslagargatan, the royal couple then travel by car over the Skeppsholm Bridge and along Svensksundsvägen to embark the royal barge Vasaorden at the Östra brobänken. The Vasaorden will then row past Kastellholmen and across Stockholm's stream to the lower Logårdstrappan below the Royal Palace.
Approximately 3,000 soldiers and sailors from 24 units from the Armed Forces, Navy and Air Force parade along the cortege route.
Escort squadrons from the Life Guard's Life Squadron ride before and after the royal carriage.
Bands from the Armed Forces play along the procession route.
The Royal Barge Vasaorden is manned by officers, soldiers and sailors from the 1st Marine Regiment, as well as the Third and Fourth Naval Warfare Flotillas.
A fan group consisting of 80 flags from the Armed Forces and from four voluntary defense organizations welcomes the King and Queen when Their Majesties disembark below the Royal Palace.

The City of Stockholm's concert in honor of the King
TM The King and Queen and the Royal family attend when the City of Stockholm arranges a Jubilee concert at Norrbro on the occasion of the King's 50 years on the throne. Several of Sweden's most popular artists perform Swedish hits created during the King's 50 years on the throne. The artists are accompanied by Johan Landqvist's Orchestra. The hostes is Zinat Pirzadeh.
