Radiant! VERY beautiful indeed and it seems what many people have been waiting for for ages!! LOL!
Now, without wishing to stir up the debate about hairstyles etc, it's a real treat to see her hair styled like that and such a surprise that I think it's nice once in a while to do it.

Catherine looks simply exquisite in the blue gown. The color suits her, and the up-do and earrings complete the looks quite nicely. I love the lace detailing in the back. The only minus for me is her choice of footwear (whatever was visible of it). She does look radiant, regal and sophisticated; everything a princess ought to be when going out on the town for a public engagement.

Whilst not being a fan of the "Negligee" eveningwear trend, I thought the back view was very interesting, if giving a little too much exposure, and we would never have seen the beautiful neck and shoulder line merging into a full back row of buttons, if she had not worn an up do. Makes me yearn for the detailing we have missed before.

I share your love of the Jimmy Choos, Xenia. They're fun without looking tacky or cheap. Although they weren't the star of the show last night.

Finally her hair is up - and what a big disappointment, she looks much more better with her hair down. The up hairdo just highlights her thinness which is also seen in her face, and makes her look much older. The cleavage is too revealing and doesn't work well on a woman who has so little to show. The colour of the dress is very lovely indeed, and the colour suits her well.

I agree - I am surprised nobody has pointed out before. I find the neckline far too low on this dress. Not a fan of the lace at all, the "shoulder pads" are ugly and the backside is painful to watch.

On the positive side - the colour is gorgeous and I absolutely love the hairdo. The eye make up is too harsh for me but Kate looks very pretty.

Although not perfect, Catherine has really stepped it up! And, wow, she looked radiant and stunning.

It was a lovely feminine dress in an ideal color for her. I really like the mix of fabrics, however I find that the different shades do not match particularly well. I am really glad she wore open toe shoes with this dress, and although I have not been a fan of this particular pair of Jimmy Choo's, I actually don't mind them with this dress.

The updo was gorgeous and the jewelry lovely. Her makeup was a little heavy, but that is how she likes it, and it was an evening event so...

The only element I really dislike (although I like the lace) is the low neckline and low back - it is too celebrity for me. That aside, Catherine looked like a sophisticated and glamours princess.
