Not sure about the brooch but I like the way the collar of the coat is designed to showcase the diamond clasp on the pearl choker. The addition of her signature pearl drop earrings is the icing on the cake.

To me it looks like a pin rather than a brooch. Very difficult to tell what it is. However, my favourite brooch/es are the pair of pansies. Just gorgeous workmanship and colors in these brooches.

The Royal Order of Sartorial Splendor: Tiara Thursday: The Delhi Durbar Tiara

This tiara has got to be one of the most beautiful and grand I have ever seen! I think the design is exquisite and the overall presence is very regal. Not really a fan of the emeralds on it but I do love the Cullinans on the tiara! To me it's a timeless and a very magnificent tiara.

It has always struck me as rather "Miss World/Miss Universe" looking, especially in its current configuration.

I agree, it do have that appearence. I think the Duchess of Cornwall wears it well though.

Its is also not a royal jewel of the past since it is still in the possession of the Royal Family and still in use.

The Delhi Durbar diadem posts have been moved across from the 'British Royal Jewels of the Past' thread.

Now I'm not very attracted to this emerald necklace; it just looks like blocks of green tiles to me. It also doesn't look good with the tiara and earrings; too modern a look.

The emeralds look like rectangular boiled lollies. Nor does it "still well" with the tiara and earrings. Too much/ jumbled/ "busy". Sometimes, less is more. Understated is better than OTT. YMMV.

I do not think Camilla got to choose the emeralds. Until such time as she gets a chance to lay her hands on some oval "boiled lollies", I am quite content with her using these ones with her Boucheron tiara.

The emerald necklace forms part of one of the three demi-parures presented to her by Prince Al-Waleed when she and Charles visited Saudi Arabia in 2006. The other two being sapphire and ruby (the "ruby breastplate").

Here are those three necklaces. Wow, she is so lucky to get three of these necklaces in one visit!

The Duchess of Cornwall’s Dragonfly Brooches

These are probably among my Top 5 favourite brooches among Camilla's collection.

She's got another set of diamond dragonfly brooches that I like even better; they're larger and have more of an antique life-like look to them. The top pin looks like green enamel to its body while the bottom looks like diamonds. I really love this set.

Not butterflies, but dragonflies...and they are rather special.

Prince Charles attends St Davids Day service in Cardiff | Demotix.com

Another Welsh leek brooch today in Cardiff for Camilla. Not quite as famous as the emerald one, but a nice one nonetheless!

Thanks, Kitty, the fingers engaged before the brain. I meant to say dragonflies. I went back and corrected the original post.
