By just 24 hours? I guess in excitable media-speak, this is missing by a whisker. If it was 18 hours, it would have been a near-collision.
The way they go on, you'd think it was a near-Earth encounter by an asteroid. But it's very possible that people would just read the "avoided an awkward encounter" and run with it. The poor media have to keep themselves fed, after all.

With these conflicting stories coming out (going to a wedding together; wanting to avoid each other), it's really hard to know what to believe.

That reference to 24 hours is funny. What number of hours would be considered safe? one week?

The "Lapdance Club" story was posted three weeks ago, on the first page of this thread.

There is no proof that either one of them has been in the "Lapdance Club".

Oh I know it was just a rubbish story. I was just expressing disgust that the porn industry is using them to gain publicity for their shady clubs now, with their runaway or kidnapped strippers and shady types slouching in and out. Though I realize some military officers and enlisted visit these places.... to each his/her own. It's not for me.

I know, it is actually horrifying to me that a stripper club tries using the -- remotest -- *possibility* of the princes' patronage for its commercial gain. It is disgusting.

...and if it was 12 hours it would have been a fatal 'accident' between the two .....the horror!

Anyways I too believe that the media is just plain ridiculous with these stories, but there is a small percentage of validation for these 'links' between the two. I mean Kate has been going out to the same nightclubs as William. Now I've been to London several times, and I know that there are more than just 3 clubs! If these are the exclusive ones, then what makes Kate one? With no malice intended, she is no VIP. She was associated with a royal for awhile, byt can't she go to the normal clubs? I can't believe that she would feel so 'out of place' there.

if she really detested the papparazzi and media attention, she would try to maintain a low profile. I'm not saying she should hide. Not at all! But I'm just wondering if she would be able to enter these clubs had she not been going out with William for so long.

I guess after you officially become an ex-lover of a royal, the benefits are endless

Well, not only does she have some kudos for getting into the clubs based on William, but now she has all these friends from his circle, like James Meade, who comes from impressive stock (very famous sporting dad) and has a lot of his own pull apart from the prince, I imagine. These clubs -- Cuckoo, Mahiki, Boujis -- are just very popular with all the hip public-schoolish crowd, middle and upper class alike. They all find ways to get in, using whatever connection or kudo is at hand.

The tabloids exaggeration of Wills and Kate just missing each other by 24 hours is totally hilarious and we can't let that go without a comment but beyond that, if you want to discuss Kate's life post William, the place to do that is the thread on Ex-Partners of Royals in the Royal Chitchat forum.

This thread is just for discussing what William is out and about doing.

Not only isn't his bald spot very interesting, it really isn't that big of a deal. I know so many people even younger than him with thinning hair. They just need to get over it.

Thanks for the pictures.

Exactly! So what, Prince William is young and balding, he isn't alone, nor is he the first or the last young man to bald. I am sure it will not keep the young ladies away! He's still a relatively attractive high ranking royal, all of which more than makes up for his early male pattern balding.

Karla, those pictures look hot off a digital camera phone, maybe yours? Were you at the polo match? In one, it looks like Kate Middleton looking straight at the camera.
I hope it is her. I love them as a couple. I pray that their "break up" was just to get the media to back off. Unfortunately, if it was, it backfired badly, because they still hassle her.
