Just guess if William has a little note to read from the queen to Colin Firth? Awesome night. We just have to be sure now that William and Kate will be there. It's not so sure ...
Helena Bonham Carter would be recieving the Best Supporting Actress which I doubt William would present.
If William does present and award, it could be the Lifetime Achievement Award.
I don't think the Oscar ceremony would dream of a having Prince William present an award. It could quite easily be beaten, it's only another award ceremony.
It would be nice to see William and Kate, but if it's not in the official calendar I don't see them attending.

Why in the privacy of CH, can Camilla and Catherine not eat outside? They are not prisoners after all.
There has been more criticism over this appearance than good press so it's hardly a PR oppurtunity.

Lumutqueen you dont understand what I mean. It's a unique situation if William is at the ceremony because He is the great grandson of the person who Colin Firth impersonate. The great grandson of the King. And that Hollywood cant have this. They have plenty of stars, of course. It's not so much he gives Helena or Colin an award. It's the situation of him being there side by side with the movie cast. And regarding the BAFTA ceremony, last year if you remember, it was not on the official calendar. To be president of honor is something different than to be president of a charity. Let'see tomorrow evening. At what time does it begin?

Last year he was not the President, it was announced after the ceremony if I am correct, therfore it was a private event.
He could just as easily fly over to Hollywood and hand Colin the best actor award, it would have as little impact over there as it would here. Only royal watchers can see the speciality in what you are suggesting.
What is the difference between this and being President of a charity? They carry the same prestige in my eyes.
It is being shown live at 9pm GMT.

Let's get back on topic.

First, this thread is for Catherine.

Second, let's not speculate on whether or not Prince William or Catherine will attend the BAFTA's. If they do (not will they), any discussion of their attendance should be in the appropriate thread, which is
http://www.theroyalforums.com/forums...-25535-21.html .

That answers my question about the restaurant.

Does anyone like Ms. Middleton's hair highlights? I think it looks strange that there only highlights in the lower strands of her hair. I loved her outfit.

BTW it does help the BRF PR for family women togetherness with this lunch date. The Duchess got a wonderful article that gfg02 submitted in a post before this one.

I like her highlights too. What I am thinking is perhaps Kate is trying out several looks, new makeup and things before the wedding.

Welcome to TRF!

This thread is not the appropriate place for discussion of Princess Mary, Queen Elizabeth II, or horses. Off-topic posts have been and will be deleted.

I'm glad that Kate, Camilla and all had the chance to get together and relax and have lunch. I can imagine as the wedding day gets closer and closer Kate is getting the feeling of "so much to do and so little time left" and if it was me, be one huge ball of nerves. Camilla seems to have the ability of putting folks at ease and being very down to earth and perhaps is a good steadying factor for Kate right now. Of all the royals, I think perhaps Camilla will be the one that Kate will most likely be able to identify with and feel as if she's got a friend in her corner.

If you ask me, Kate could do without wisdom from Camilla.

I was noticing her highlights too. They really stood out in a way that they did not at the engagement.

Sorry but if there is anyone in the BRF who understands the pressure and weight of joining the "firm", its Camilla. I couldn't think of anyone to give better advice. I still find it funny how strangers still pass judgment even though its obvious Camilla gets on well with Diana's children and Kate. Obviously she is not the crazy wicked lady some still like to believe....

I think that was a well-reasoned opinion from the reporter. It was very sad but true that Charles could not handle Diana's popularity as it eclipsed his own. William might be of the current, very modern generation but he's still grown up with his family's expectations and attitudes. I just hope Kate can cope; not becoming hysterical at betrayal is a good way to go.

I was surprised at first, to read the author's parallel between Kate's weight loss, "coquettish glance at the cameras" and "of course, the ring" and Diana. I had thought of Kate as having much more self-confidence than Diana did early on. But, maybe she is feeling the pressure already. (Or, of course, the author is reading something into things that isn't there.)

I think, though that Camilla probably is the best person to advise Kate--she's seen it all for decades before Diana ever came on the scene, during, and afterwards.

No disrespect meant towards the memory of the late Princess of Wales, but Camilla is savvy in a way that Diana couldn't be and is managing to fit in with the Royal family better as well.

Edited to change "in" to "it".

Coquettish glances at the cameras? I've not seen Kate do much of that at all. If anything, she either ignores them or says a quick "hello" as she walks by. She certainly doesn't flirt with them the way Diana did, and she doesn't deliberately look at them.

I had a feeling that was the case.

well, it will be a big difference here, this is a marry of love while Charles and Diana was an arrange marriage for this he felt eclipse by Dianae fame and didn't like her popularity , I think in this case William would not bother with that like in the other Royals familiees in Europe that the commoner now CPs are so famous and the husband are happy with that!
