Why did King Philippe thanks for the many supports? Which ones ??

Just a guess but I read that Queen Beatrix took Philippe under her wings a bit since King Albert wasn’t willing or able to act as a mentor for his son. Looks like he found it really important to express his gratitude in public without getting too explicit.
