Its president Manuel Marin participated in the stand and make a donation.This act is part of the yearly campaigns to collect funds for international non-profit asociation projects. Queen Sofia greeted the donors one by one, got congratulations from the people getting by the table and collected some gifts for her new grand daughter Princess Leonor among them a doll dressed a a nurse.

The King Juan Carlos has come this morning to the maritime station of Vigo to give the exit to the Return to Vela-Volvo Ocean's World Race, in which they will take part seven crafts of six different nationalities.
The monarch came to the dock soon after his daughter the infanta Cristina, accompanied of her husband, Iñaki Urdangarín, who were greeted by the principal Galician, present authorities also forthwith to attend the beginning of the test, which for the first time goes out of a not British port.

VIGO (PONTEVEDRA) .-Thousands of vigueses dismissed to the sailboats that are going to take part in the Volvo Ocean Race, Ditch Turned to the World, in the middle of a great holiday in that the King Juan Carlos I and the dukes of Palm, the Infanta dona Cristina and Iñaki Urdangarín, had a great protagonism. The King dismissed in the same pantalán where the ships were placed to the regatistas and, together with them, received the benediction before the exit. The thousands of vigueses that gave to themselves appointment in the port vigués, perfectly controlled by a safety cord organized by safety members of the Royal House, vitorearon one for one to the ships as they were leaving the tie and were going to it laugh at Vigo to take the exit.
There was specially emotive the exit of the 'MoviStar-Galicia'', on board of which there went out the King, who, later, would approach the Swedish schooner 'Gotemburg' from the one that would give the cannon-shot of exit of the test.
