The King Rama X and Family General News

It's so sad this tragedy is happening to a woman that was still young and athletic.

That said, even a masked Queen Jetsun Pema Wangchuck of Bhutan is a spectacular beauty. She is to me like the Grace Kelly of Bhutan, no photo from any angle makes her look bad and even walking on a hallway her presence is everything on that room.

He is pretty adamant that there is NO perspective of recovery, and she is only 'technically' alive as in her body is kept alive by a machine (i.e., she has been brain death since Wednesday). According to him it is not the first time that the monarchy either keeps someone on such a machine for a long time or delays announcing the death of a family member, so it doesn't interfere with other events (such as the new year celebration - which he expects will happen this time again; but until that time they will pretend she needs their prayers for recovery and in that way play up support from the people).

(...)

Some of New Year celebrations are being cancelled or toned down out of respect for her condition so this theory doesn't really hold.

On Saturday, The Digital Ministry warned the public should not believe people on social media who claim to know the latest health status of HRH Princess Bajrakitiyabha and sharing false news and information online is a violation of the Computer Crime Act.

If he's indeed diagnosed with autism, he looks fine to me. My cousin has autism and currently attending 'normal' highschool and doing well in term of grade, but there's no way he'd interact with strangers like that, he never even looks at me when I talks to him it's almost like he ignores me or I don't exist (he's listening and understands what I said, sometimes responding out of the blue moment after it's over).

However, I understand that many seems to have a misconception about autism. When I'm having conversations about autism with fellow Asians (East Asians, Middle Easterns, South East Asians), many of them don't believe that I have Asperger's because when they think about autism what come into their mind is Down Syndrome.

"Thai Royal Household released the third statement on the health of Princess Bajrakitiyabha who has been hospitalised at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital in Bangkok since 15 December 2022.

The Royal Household firstly indicated that the Princess lost consciousness with heart problems. The medical teams specify that the Princess suffers the cardiac arrhythmia with the infection of Mycoplasma pneumoniae. The Princess has not yet been conscious. The medical teams are still closely following her health by using the equipment to support her heart, lung, and kidney."

Chakriwat Vivacharawongse, the third son of His Majesty King Vajiralongkorn of Thailand posted on his Facebook account when questioned about the possible return to Thailand after his elder brother Vacharaesorn made his first return in 27 years.

The Ex-Prince wrote in another post on Facebook confirming that the return must be only made by ‘order’, which has never been sent while residing overseas all along. He also mentions his love and loyalty he and his brothers still have to his father and confirms it was Vacharaesorn’s own decision to go back home.

Thank you for posting this update.

Given how prone the King has been to sudden changes in mood in terms of granting and withdrawing marks of favor from his family members, I wonder how long his son's ordered return will last. I hope Vacharaesorn has contingency plans in case he suddenly falls out of favor again.

It seems suitable to point out that for all the pomp and circumstances surrounding King Rama he's not the one that's really calling the shots in Thailand. If his son returning to the country suits those pulling the strings there's nothing that he can do about it.

Vacharaesorn and Chakriwat Vivacharawongse, sons of His Majesty King Vajiralongkorn of Thailand paid respect to the statues of King Chulalongkorn (Rama V), King Bhumibol Adulyadej, and their great-grandparents Prince Father Mahidol Adulyadej and Princess Mother Srinagarindra. The brothers were greeted by members of the public at Siriraj Hospital in Bangkok, Kingdom of Thailand.

And just like that there's two of them...

I am confused. On the Facebook post, the brothers said that any return to Thailand can only be done by order from the King. Yet in the same post it says the decision to return was done independently. Which is it? The King needs a good heir and his exiled sons are the most capable.

I can't wait to see how things play out!

How could he "order" them anything?

They are adult and independent men!

Chakrivat ist chronically ill, so if it would be Vacharaeson.

Very interesting developments. I wonder whether this Thailand visit is a first step in normalizing the relations between the king and his elder sons. He may be realizing that he needs them if he wants to ensure that the royal line continues through him now his eldest daughter is unlikely to ever reign.

Has the current King of Thailand not made any state visits yet?

Don't think. I guess is that it has to do with the political situation in Thailand.
