This is not good. Melanoma is one of the deadliest types of cancer once it spreads. I hope they caught it early. All good wishes for a complete recovery.

Bless her heart. I also had skin cancer but not the dangerous Melanoma type. Apparently there seems to be many variations. Speedy detection is key also. I sincerely hope she pulls through this bout with cancer with speed and confidence. Prayers Sarah.

Melanoma only becomes a problem if not caught early. If caught early as part of routine medical care, it is very treatable and usually does not require anything more than excision of the melanoma. I had one myself more than 15 years ago, and the only follow up care I've ever required are regular skin checks by a dermatologist.

I hope that this is the case for Sarah too.

Terrible news for Sarah, especially only 6 months (?) after being diagnosed with breast cancer. I hope the melanoma was found at an early stage and did not spread, so that she can make a full recovery.

It’s unfortunate that she’s extremely fair-skinned and at a very high risk for this [“In fact, skin melanoma is strikingly more common in patients with type I skin, freckling, blue eyes and red hair” — all of which Sarah has] (thank goodness for her watchful dermatologist), but melanoma can happen to anyone, and iirc the diagnosis rate has skyrocketed over the last few decades.

I hope she recovers well.

IIRC, her sister still lives in Australia; she is said to be fairly close with her former stepmother (her dad's widow.)

I agree and over the years she has done awful things, said awful things in paid interviews and then come back asking for forgiveness and the cycle repeats again.

It's widley believed she and Andrew have pushed for a very long time to get B and E into roles (since birth?) that it was made clear where not going to be there [......]

Don't forget folks, Sarah was always a PR girl and very strategic in her friendships before she was dating Andrew and she may have pushed to get that via being a confident to Diana when things got awkward. She walked over Diana to begin with I think. I would say no to the pr push from the Yorks and hire in Lady Louise when she graduates on another year or so from St. Andrews.

There will always be more skeletons in all of the family closets, just may take after watching a long time both Sarah and her parents keeping close to the Royal Family. Her father had an uncle who ran the Sandringham estate and Ron Fergusson was a 3rd cousin of Diana's father.
