It must be rather weird to start dating someone who happens to be the mother of the queen of Spain. Therefore, it is probably a bit easier that her boyfriend is Irish/British (not sure which one; publications seem to differ) and not Spanish.

This made me nervous.
While I don't condone Telma being stalked by the paparazzi. She wasn't very smart in the way she handled things.
Her walking backwards in heeled boots with a newborn baby in a parking lot was very dangerous.

The smart thing to do-what Palomas boyfriend did was walk normally and carry-on as usual-she was already wearing sunglasses and keep the baby's face covered.

She's a beautiful young woman. I am surprised she introduced this boyfriend in such a manner. She's very young and at this age boyfriends and girlfriends (she's bisexual) will come and go. No surprise the Queen hasn't met him either.

Obviously Carla needs to give interviews to make a living, so this time the boyfriend has to help to create a new story as there is little to say about any accomplishments (she wants to be an actress but no jobs). So selling out being the Queen's niece has to make do as the Ortiz family does not support her economically. I don't think Letizia will be too happy about those home storys and hints about the relationship with the aunt and the cousins, but that is beyond her control.
I don't think these interviews will help Carla getting anywhere near the career in the limelight she seems to crave, at the moment she's 'famous' for all the wrong reasons.
