H.I.H Princess Takamado being the honorary president of PHILANIPPON 2021, it comes as no surprise that one of the most exciting opportunities will be seeing the Imperial stamp collection. In it, visitors will be able to see the princess’s own collection of British stamps, as well as rare gems such as the Commemorative Stamp of the Wedding of Crown Prince Hirohito, canceled due to the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923.

Some news about Princess Hisako's family, she was born Hisako Tottori.

The Shoya mansion in Mitoyo City, Kagawa Prefecture has been designated a national cultural property and can be used as a guesthouse. Also known as Tottori House, the mansion was built for a branch house by the Tottori family who ruled the area as shoya (village head) in the Edo period. The current head of the Tottori family still resides in the vicinity.

Jusaburo Tottori, who was 4th mayor of Kasada Village, built the main building. Part of the structure was burnt in the Taisho era and Jusaburo's eldest son Fujio rebuilt it, adding a new 2-story tatami room. The residence has been a valuable source of building technology from the Meiji to Showa eras.

Koji Tottori, the great-grandson of Jusaburo, is currently managing the Tottori House which now has a new tatami room. The guesthouse, featuring both Western and Japanese style rooms and Goemon bath, was built over 80 years ago and has been available to the public since 2016.

The Tottori House was shown to the press on July 14, 2021
