Prince Harry and Meghan Markle: Church Service, Carriage Procession - May 19, 2018

That’s just how they feel about each other. There is no right or wrong way for this. :flowers:
Well, we have to disagree here. At some point it's just awkward. 30-something people should be able to get through the ceremony without constantly holding hands.

Meghan not reciting Our Father apparently.

The choir sounds amazing, simple and beautiful. I love the music chosen for this (with some exceptions), I wonder if Prince Charles had made a few suggestions.

They should do whatever makes them happy. If that’s holding hands than that’s fine. It’s their wedding.

Prince Charles and Doria apparently are the 2 witnesses signing the register - lovely symbolism of the 2 parents present.I love the cello playing.

As a Catholic, I am always amazed at how those Protestant wedding services feel so short !

Eh....Zara and Mike... we're still on the air

I believe Charles did have some input with the wedding selections. The music is fantastic.

I love that Harry and Meghan chose their parents to be their sign their registry.

I think the hand holding is adorable.

I'm neither a traditionalist nor a Catholic, but damn, that was just weird.

And long.
So damn long.

Going to disagree - given that M and H are not soft spoken about good works/service toward others, I think the topic was spot on for them.

And not long by US standards. At least there was some harmless humor.

I liked it was even surprised by it! Fire up.

I agree with you, but I think the Orthodox services are much longer than Catholic ones !

Charles seeming totally content with Harry and Meghan's union melts my heart.

It was sweet to see Prince Charles reach out to Meghan's mother, who afterall, was sitting alone. Zara looks a bit uncomfortable--I hope she feels well enough to go to the evening reception.

Short by American standards! lol

That's what I tweeted back at Phil Dampier! I didn't think the sermon was terribly long at all. Granted, I haven't been to church in a good many years but almost all of my Protestant mainstream US church sermons ran about 10-15 minutes (and I went to church regularly until my mid-20s).

Guide me O thou great redeemer is a bit more to my personal tastes!

The cellist was fantastic!

In England, it is called an Address while in the US it is called a Sermon. That is why for non Americans, it was a bit much. But for us Americans, it was short.

Yes, nothing beats a Greek wedding ! Didn’t Juan Carlos and Sophia have both ? The lucky few !

The topic was fine, even if simple and repetitive, but all the yelling in the church isn't really my thing.

I think I had similar feelings about it as the BRF ?

Beautiful work by the young cellist. I love Ave Maria.

It’s not like they are making out ang groping each other. It’s just holding hands.

I love Ave Maria. Beautiful choice.
