King Constantine (1940 - 2023)

It seems the eldest son of Prince Pavlos is missing too, as are Pss Alexia and family and Prince Nikolaus and Pirncess Tatiana.

Does anybody recognise who is walking behind Pss Theodora? Pss Alexandra perhaps, daughter of Prince Michel? She must be walking with one of her sons, Tigran or Darius Mirzayantz .

Is it known why the Edinburghs did not attend?

Nice that the other sister (Alexandra) of Pss Marie-Chantal could make it this time. I believe that at the funeral in Greece Pia Miller was there.
I saw Princess Tatiana on a photograph.

And if I am not mistaken I also spotted Marina Mowatt, maybe as stand in for her mother.

I didn't see Queen Sofia?
Maybe I've missed the photos!

Queen Sofia was there as well, see here.

It's worth checking the galleries on the previous page again, they are still being updated.

Nice to see so many familiar faces. I didn't see the Michael Kents nor either one of their children. A nice representation from the Berleburg families.

Yes at last a good show from them. But still odd that nobody from the danish main branch attended. Seems Constantine was closer to his spanish Royals then to the danish as they attended in full force.

Princess Alexia, Carlos Morales, Prince Nikolaos and Princess Tatiana are all there… The only senior greek royal that seems to be missing is Prince Constantine-Alexios…

King Frederik chaired a council meeting today. As it involves the government i suppose that takes precedence…

Don’t know where Queen Margrethe was but she is often abroad on holiday this time of the year… Often with Queen Sonja… As Haakon is listed as Crown Prince Regent, Harald and Sonja is clearly abroad… I wouldn’t be surprised if she is with them.

Queen Elizabeth II also held memorial services in St George’s Chapel for late Heads of State and Garter Knights / Ladies… Not only for members of the anglican faith…

In the British Court Protocol King Constantine is a deceased Head of State (not a former head of state)
King Constantine was not a Knight of the Garter though, which makes the choice of St George's Chapel odd for this particular memorial service.

Possibly it was easier to have all the guest arrive at Windsor Castle and then onto the chapel and back to Windsor Castle afterwards?

Yes, I guess that was the main reason for choosing this particular venue.

Time passes for us all, it was shocking to see Princess Alexandra in a wheelchair. But I was happy to see her nevertheless. The Kents were there in full force. Bless them.

Constantine-Alexios baffles me again and again. Even Matthew Kumar was there.

It was lovely to see Sir Jackie Stewart, Hereditary Prince Erns August was also there, and so was former U.S secretary of state John Kerry.

I like this photo of King Felipe helping his father:

What a great turn out!
The Prince of Wales was supposed to read a lesson. Does anyone know who read it instead?

Perhaps he could not attend because of studies. The children of Princess Alexia did also not attend.

I always like to see Juan Carlos and Felipe together. They must always miss each other a lot and it must be great when they see each other, even at these types of events.

Lovely showing from friends and family. I'm sure CPP and QAM are feeling touched. So nice to see a tender moment between the Kings of Spain. Queen Camilla has really been such a rock for the BRF lately.

@Alisa It seems Lady Gabriella read instead of the POW.

Queen Sofia was no where to be seen with King Juan Carlos and sat with the Greek RF in the chapel.

That was of the seating Order which i found a bit strange, where the spouses had been separated. For example all of Constantin's children in the first row and their spouses behind them.

DM claims Prince Constantijin was present, did anyone see him?

He did not attend his namesake godfather's funeral in Athens (the Dutch were very well represented though) so it would've been nice to see him today in Windsor.
