Estelle is such an adorable baby! She was such cute today at the celebrations. It was lovely to see Chris there as well.

Why be so incredibly negative. It puts a real damper on everything on the Swedish royal family thread. It is perfectly fine to wear high heels with our Swedish national outfits. Most people actually do.

I agree about the photo. I don't think they took the family photo and published it just because Madeleine's incident with the traffic fine. It's our Nationaldag, so pics of the royal family are to be expected.

However, I disagree about the shoes. Most people wear the traditional shoes - the ones you see Silvia and Victoria wearing. There's nothing wrong with high heels, but they look a bit misplaced here, IMO.

Because the swedish royal family has always been lousy in this kind of PR (Victoria and Daniel are an exception), I don't believe that these photos were published because of the National Day. They haven't published family photos, although they have been wanted. They could have started in 2010 when Daniel came to the family. But now when the negative headlines were going to put an unhappy shadow to the wedding, they started to act. Of course it is nice that they publish photos like this, I just hope that this is a new tradition and we will see these photos every National Day.

Swedish Royals Celebrate National Day - Pictures - Zimbio

The finnish media follows the swedish royals very tightly. One reporter said that although there hasn't been much flow with this wedding in Stockholm and with people, yesterday evening there was a lot of people near the Royal Palace when the cortege left. She had been with the crowd, people were excited mostly about Estelle, admiring how she looked and how she looked at the people. Some were interested also in Madeleine and Chris, some of the whole royal family. The reporter said also that everything has not gone like the royal family would have wanted, Madeleine's problem with the bus line driving and people speaking that Chris is arrogant and cocky have been things the royal family didn't want to happen.

Madeleine was many weeks in Sweden before the wedding so Estelle probably has met her many times.

June 6, 2014 - Sweden's National Day

At 10.00 o'clock princess Madeleine and mr Christopher O'Neill open the gates to the Open Palace.

The king and queen attend at the National Day celebrations in Ånge during the day. They arrive to Ånge at 11.00

At 17.55 The Royal Family cortége leaves the Palace via the Outer Courtyard.

At the National Day's concert in Skansen perform Lill Lindfors & Johnel, Medina, Loreen & Ingá-Marét Gaup Juuso, Rickard Söderberg and Darin.

In the evening, after the celebration in Skansen the Royal Family hosts a reception at the Royal Palace.

Last year there wasn't when Victoria, Daniel and Estelle opened the gates. Aftonbladet showed just from when the cortege left the Palace in the evening.
SVT will show the concert in the evening.
