Yes, it would take 6-7 hours by train and 7-8 hours by car. It is the quickest and most practical option. Also considering they will not be travelling alone but will be escorted by a large group of people.
Last week the minister of foreign affairs went with an airplane to Luxembourg, which would be a 4 hour drive normally.
Queen Beatrix wore the Württemberg pearl tiara during her state visit of 2011. The banquet's dress code was also black tie. Princess Máxima wore the diamond bandeau at the time. In 1982 Queen Beatrix wore the Mellerio Ruby tiara. Both tiaras are among the largest ones of the collection. I am glad that the Queen chose to use her most important tiara for a visit to our most important neighbour.
