Crown Prince Nikolaos of Greece is marrying Tatiana Blatnik August 25. Nikolaos's father, King Constantine is a cousin of Ernst of Hanover. (As is Constantine's sister, Queen Sophia of Spain.) Perhaps Prince Ernst and Princess Alexandria will attend the wedding?

I miss the Hannovers. I know, I know...... Ernst is supposed to have cheated, and I don't blame Caroline, but I don't blame him either because the facts aren't known. It's all heresy and gossip. Even if it's true, people make mistakes. I don't have a head for statistics, but I think the statistic for infidelity in marriage in quite high! Anyway, I just miss the Hannover-Casiraghi brady bunch days. The whole thing is just sad.
Ain't that the truth! Where is the suspense? We can no longer be looking forward to Ernst slugging someone, or wetting down the pavilion of a sensitive country, or stripping down at the beach, "en famille", and getting his bare bottom photographed, or missing a morning royal wedding because he spent the night reveling, or having his pancreas whisked off to the hospital, or getting deathly ill when his wife needs him the most, or finding creative ways of dealing with paparazzi, or being driven in a high-end sedan with his feet hanging out the window, etc., etc. We'll just have to do without all of that.
Yet, I’ve always felt that when he stood by his wife, impeccably dressed, with a twinkle in his eye, he looked like a peach of a husband.
At the end of the day, it's all Grace's fault. She had earmarked EA as a suitor for PC in the early days.
For my part, I'd be glad never to see an image of EA ever again.

You never knew whether you were going to get Ernst the Jovial or Ernst the Prince of Screwing up Publicly. Things were never dull. But for all that, there was something so appealing about him, because he seemed like the only one of Caroline's husbands who had as strong a personality as she does, and that that was a good thing for her to experience - if only for a while, it seems.
As the saying goes: ''What he once did with you, he will eventually do to you.''I read somewhere, a quote from EA, but who knows how credible that is, that Grace actually DIDN'T pick Ernst out as a suitor. That that was just a rumor and because it was one of the nicer ones they just allowed people to think it.
Um...what? Even if it IS true and she had picked him for PC I don't see how it's HER fault he's a cheater? That logic doesn't make sense to me at all. I mean, seriously? The fault lies ONLY with Ernst and Caroline. Because as sorry as I am for her, she knew what Ernst was when she married him. Their relationship began as an affair, so she knew that he was not a loyal man. Whatever made her think that what he did to Chantal he wouldn't do to her, I have no clue. That said, as long as Alex knows both her parents love her and that it's not her fault (children of divorce sometimes thinkt hat), everything else is on the adults in this situation...not a woman who was dead before they ever got together.
I guess Junot had a pretty strong personality, didn't he? He seems flamboyant, at least by his reputation. But Stefano and Vincent were definitely subdued, low key, quiet characters.
I think the best thing I can say about Ernst is his sense of style. Fabulous!
I don't know why he isn't on the Best Dressed lists, or is/was he? He should be.
No one will ever convince me that Princess Grace "earmarked" him for her daughter. Princess Grace and PrinceRainier were both devout Roman Catholics and EA is descended from a long line of Protestants, albeit a little light on the practice of it's profession. At the end of the day, it's all Grace's fault. She had earmarked EA as a suitor for PC in the early days.
I think it is really trashy for anyone to "date" if they are still married. A little bit of class is called for, especially when there is a young child in the picture. Call me a fuddy-duddy, but the Monagasque ladies have always been out of control. That being said, why am I surprised? LOL
No need at all for another annullment : she never married religiously with Ernst so... if she divorced and remarried, she would be married religiously nowYes. Will there be a divorce or not? I think this could be difficult because Caroline is a Catholic. Her first marriage was annuled then she was a widow and now? I doubt that there will be another annullment.
