On Sunday, August 19, the Crown Princess couple visits Estonia to pay attention to the 100th anniversary of Estonia's independence.
The Crown Princess couple is welcomed by Estonia's President Kersti Kaljulaid at the Presidential Palace in Kadriorg, Tallinn. The program starts with an individual meeting and lunch at the Presidential Palace. After that, the Crown Princess plants a tree in Kadriorg Park.
The Crown Princess couple then goes to Nargö and attends a church service and reinauguration of the St. Mary's Chapel, which belogs to the Estonian Swedish St. Michael's parish in Tallinn. In connection with the church service, the Crown Princess couple meets also Estonian Swedes.
As an end to the visit in Estonia, the Crown Princess couple attends the grand singing festival "Estonian Joint Singing Song Power" at the Song Festival Grounds in Tallinn.
The purpose of the Crown Princess couple's visits to Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania in 2018 has been to pay attention to the countries' anniversary years and emphasize the importance of Sweden's close relations with neighboring countries.
