CP Frederik is Denmark's regent undtil the 27 September, so it must mean CP Frederik and CP Mary first will travel during the day on the 27 September. The flight takes 8-10 hours from Denmark.

CP Frederik and CP Mary left Copenhagen Airport around noon today. Søren Hedegaard posted for 7 hours ago a picture on Facebook of him in the airplane with the text: On my way to Washington D.C. The entire Danish delegation usually travles together.

This means that Frederik and Mary right now must have landed in Washington - and in a few hours are ready for tonight's reception and the trips first official event.

Then the Crown Prince couple have a night where they can hopefully get some rest and get rid of the worst jetlag before they tomorrow morning begin 4 packed days.

Over 60 Danish companies joining in the visit og both DR's TV-Avisen and TV2 Nyhederne are travled along, so I guess we can enjoy good coverage also from the main Danish tv-stations. I saw several clips already in my morning tv-news today.

Yes, Frederik has a tendency to suffer from jetlag, while Mary at least appears to be more resistant.

USA is the third largest market for DK, (Germany being the largest, and Britain I believe fourth or fifth), so the commerce delegation is spearheaded by some serious heavy-weights among Danish companies!

And noting that Mary's hairdresser, Søren Hedegaard, is going, we can expect Mary being seriously dressed up during this visit.

mary's dress reminded me so much of this dress of princess charlene (by vilshenko) that i immediately checked on their website. it seems that mary took a leaf out of charlene's style book and got herself the same one. i loved it on charlene so i am glad to see another royal with it. it's such a beautiful, feminine dress.

How's the visit being received in America? I can't find much media coverage as of yet. Will Fred have meetings with President Obama or Vice-President Biden?

From the agenda on page one, It looks like this time there will not be visits with the President or VP. Our political climate right now is a little hectic at the moment
But Frederik will visit the " 'Whip' of Democrats in the House of Representatives, Steny Hoyer, in the U.S. Capitol, the home of the U.S. Congress. "
in today's business luncheon they will meet "U.S. administration, Congress, NGOs who work with sustainability. During the luncheon, the Crown Prince Couple will witness the signing of a cooperation agreement between Copenhagen and Washington D.C."
Frederik will also visit and give a speech at the Clean Water Caucus of the United States Congress.
