The Death of Thomas Kingston, Husband of Lady Gabriella Kingston

Although I understand the need for privacy issue ... the wording leaves too much to the imagination. For example "... he was found dead at a residence in Gloucestershire ..." that should have been written "he died while in Gloucestershire over the weekend" Saying that he was found dead at a residence leads to all types of questions -- whose residence in Gloucestershire? was no one with him at the time? how long had he been dead when found?

Sorry ... but, just very poorly worded. JMHO
That's what I thought too. He must have family in that county I read somwhere, but still they could have mentioned that. But, whoever made the press release maybe didn't know anything. Too bad that it is leading to lots of unwanted speculation.

Buckingham Palace did not say that, it was the police who said he was found dead at a residence in Gloucestershire. I very much doubt that the palace would ever announce the passing of a member of the family by saying that they had been found dead somewhere. It's normal wording for the police, I suppose.

Very, very sad. I feel terrible for Lady Gabriella. It took her a while to find the right person and now he has died so young ?

Yes, no getting around the fact that something seems off.
At this point, BP may as well be upfront about the cause of death, since nothing can be worse than the comments surfacing on social media.

OMG! What a shocking news!! My condoleances to the Kent family!

To avoid any doubt here is a copy of the statement BP released. It says nothing about how or where he died. Those are details the media have got from the police and use pretty generic, standard, language in such cases.
BP would be very unlikely to announce a cause of death, especially until a coroner or any other investigations have been complete.

The statement was embargoed until 6pm on 27th meaning it was released to the media before that (or quite likely the media found out about the death and then, when contacting BP for confirmation the statement was released but embargoed to give the family privacy for a day or so to inform others and deal with the news in private) Either way it means the press will have known about the death before their articles / stories could be published giving them time to seek comment from the local police to get more details to add to their stories. These facts have been added together to the BP statement to give more details in the reports published but its important to note not all these came from the Palace.

I understood speculation to be against forum rules. This is getting ridiculous. Until all of the proper inquiries and investigations have been completed by the proper authorities (not simply someone with a twitter account or writing for the Daily Mail) it’s not possible to say why he died and this throwing out various diagnoses from a medical textbook adds nothing to anyone’s knowledge and is, frankly, disrespectful to Thomas and his family.

Speculation is against forum rules, and is especially distasteful in this kind of tragic situation. Speculative posts and responses to them have been deleted.

My condoleances to the Kingston and Kent families

It is not really for BP to comment one either the circumstances, location or any other detail of the death. Its not really our business. If the immediate family wanted more detail released, they would.

There are not half-orphans at least.

Dear God ,how terribly sad!

Oh, how horrific. You just never know the unimaginable pain that some people are going through.
That they sadly feel there is no relief or recourse from.
I hope that all his family, friends and especially lovely Ella find comfort, peace, and understanding during these difficult and sad days.

Its very sad and at least for the public, this was not to be expected. I read during the last days that even if it is not uncommon that seemingly healthy young people, especially men, drop dead due to undetected heart disease, the reason of death by suicice within that age group is significantly higher than a heart attack. Much strength to the family!

I feel so bad for his parents that not only did it happen on their property, they were the ones to find the body with the visible catastrophic head injury. They'll never get those images out of their head, or escape the view of the outbuilding every time they look outside.

Daily Mail said he ate lunch with his parents and then left, later to be found dead. It seems clear that he committed suicide. The announcement by Buckingham Palace means to me that they wanted to protect Lady Ella and his parents from rumours. If that will stop the tabloids?

How absolutely horrendous. Suicide is one of the highest causes of death amongst young men, and Prince William's worked with the FA and other organisations to try to get people to open up about their problems, but you never know what's going on in someone else's life.
