Concert Begins National Day Celebrations in Belgium

Belgium’s National Day celebrations began this evening with the annual ‘Prelude to National Day’ concert.

King Philippe and Queen Mathilde were joined by Princess Astrid and Prince Lorenz at the Brussels Centre for Fine Arts for the concert, which included performances by the Belgian National Orchestra and a 2011 laureate of the Queen Elisabeth Music Competition.

The Queen looked lovely in a midnight blue cocktail dress with a silver thread weaved through it, while Princess Astrid opted for a white, black and gold skirt with a black top.
