Daffodils for the Duchess: Camilla Visits Wiltshire

  February 9, 2016 at 2:23 pm by

The Duchess of Cornwall received a lovely bouquet of daffodils from students at Wiltshire’s Forest and Sandridge Church of England Primary School today, as she held a number of engagements in the city.

Camilla spent some time touring the new building of the school, which she officially opened, and observed pupils in their classroom as they drew, built things and baked cookies.

She also visited Prospect Hospice and met with people receiving treatment and the nurses caring for them. She also met fundraisers who helped to raise the money required to open the hospice centre in a closer location than the previous centre.

During her time at the hospice, Camilla got a good giggle when offered a cup of tea from a teapot proclaiming that “There may be gin in here…”. The Duchess jokingly said that it was perhaps a little early in the day for something that strong.
