Infanta Sofía of Spain Celebrates her 5th Birthday

Madrid – April 29th, 2012

On Sunday April 29th, Her Royal Highness Infanta Sofía of Spain celebrated her fifth birthday. Infanta Sofía was born in at Ruber International Clinic in Madrid in 2007, the second daughter of the Prince and Princess of Asturias.

Sofía is currently third in the line line of succession to the Spanish throne after her father, Prince Felipe, and older sister, Infanta Leonor. The Infanta is named in honour of her paternal grandmother, Queen Sofia of Spain.

Her most recent public appearances were at the traditional Easter Sunday Mass at Palma Cathedral in Mallorca, and later when she accompanied her sister and parents to visit her grandfather the King in a Madrid hospital.
