Queen Rania, the founder and chairperson of the JRF, delivered a speech during the ceremony thanking all the donors and every person who helped the foundation reach it’s goals. “Tonight, we celebrate the million lives lifted by the Jordan River Foundation over the last 15 years; the million lives touched, embraced, and given an opportunity by JRF, because we believe opportunity is the key to positive and lasting change,” the Queen said.

The ceremony was held to mark the foundation’s fifteenth anniversary and was attended by 800 guests including senior officials, Arab and international artists, as well as members of the media, reported Petra news agency.

The Jordan River Foundation is a Jordanian NGO established by HM Queen Rania – then Princess Rania – in 1995. Through a network of multiple projects the foundation focuses her work on two main areas: child safety and economic development for low-income communities.
