Just came to post the same. :D They mingle more with the Spanish nobility than the SRF.

Amalia arrived on the arm of prince Boris. So, they are at least acquainted.

In some pictures, in demeanor the bride makes me think of the hereditary grand duchess.

Another party to attend for Amalia with her parents... sorry but I don't think the image is her doing any favours, partying with the international jet set.
IMO there is lack of seriousness when it comes to Amalias role as heir.
Surprising since the approval ratings for the DRF have been going downhill for some time now.
Not every country has to be as serious as Spain but Amalia seems to be at the other end of the spectrum, some middle ground would be good.

To avoid this thread focusing on Amalia instead of the bridal couple, my response is included here.

It is shame that because of her nasty uncle the Duchess was not only prevented from wearing the Families ducal coronet but also to hold her Wedding at one of the Families posessions.

It is really a pity so see the holder of one of the most prestigious Spanish titles to get married without a tiara. I didn't know that their was a family feud. What was the reason for it? Does it have to do with female succession to the title?

There is a Family foundation etablished by the late Duchess of Medinaceli, the great-grandmother of the present Duchess. She has one surviving child the Duke of Segorbe. According to the Will of the late duchess all her chukldren or their descendants have a seat in the Board of the Foundation. But in 2020 the duke of Segorbe who is the President of the foundation throw out the present Duchess as well 2 sons and 2 daughters of his late siblings.

As i have read the have won a lawsuit against him but he ignnored it and has gone against it and it is still going one.

It's indeed a pity, really. Even more so as a few months ago her cousin Sol Medina (elder daughter of the "nasty uncle", the Duke of Segorbe) got married in Seville, with a reception at Casa de Pilatos, and wearing the Medinaceli coronet

A few observations:

- The Duchess looked really beautiful. Her dress looked like a work of art. You can tell that alot of careful and ornate detailing went into it. She has the quiet discreet elegance like the Queen of the Belgians and the Hereditary Grand Duchess of Luxembourg.
She should have borrowed or purchased the biggest and most beautiful tiara to have worn on her wedding day.... Give the mean and surly Duke of Segorbe something to talk about. https://garrard.com/us/product/garl...uct_cat=high-jewellery-tiaras-and-hair-jewels

-Queen Máxima never looked better. I love the giant headpiece and the beautiful satin gray dress. Stunning.

-The tiara-loving Princess of Oranje couldn't help herself wearing a nice and modest diadem headpiece. Haha...I love it.

-I am surprised Amalia attended given that she is in University while Princess Alexia who is currently enjoying a gap year did not attend.

-Are Boris and Amalia an item? It is "interesting" that she arrived and left on his arm and they both left in the same vehicle.

-Are the Dutch royals present because they know the groom or the bride? I understand that the groom has some Argentinian heritage.

I assume they know the bride. Last year they attended for example the Feria of Sevilla, and they've been known to visit Spain regularly, so, they seem to mingle somewhat among the Spanish aristocracy.

Boris and Amalia haven't been seen together before.

Victoria is too discreet and classy to do that.

Well the Dutch royals have been going to Seville for a long time so naturally they got to socialise with the well known families that go for events there. The Spanish royals don’t really attend weddings of the aristocracy and when the former King Juan Carlos came to power, the court of nobles that used to be part of the royal court was abolished. Emeritus Queen Sofia didn’t have ladies-in-waiting either.

At this wedding they were not guests of the bride's aristocratic family, but of the commoner groom's family. Alexia Iribarren, the groom's mother, is Argentine and Máxima's schoolmate in Nothlands.

According to El Mundo, Maxime is the son of a French aristocrat, does anyone know what his father's title is?

I only read that his name is Alexis Corneille.

It's a nice coincidence (?) that the son of Alexia and Alexis is called Maxime, while Máxima's middle daughter shares the name with the mother of the groom - and friend of Máxima: Alexia.

Here is a video of the wedding of Victoria and Maxime
