Haakon and Mette-Marit and HIV/AIDS
colourpress.com - Crown Princess Mette-Marit and Crown Prince Haakon attended an AIDS/HIV-event in Oslo tonight. Especially Mette-Marit seemed to be very sad about the fact, that the king has been diagnosed with cancer.

Such sad news as Christmas awaits. MM may be supporting her husband's sadness also. I've just have never seen this couple so depressed ~ as anyone would be receiving news like this. All my best wishes for a recovery, King Harald, and may God go with CP Haakon as he and his mother stand in for him.

Mette is like wine-she gets better with age. I think they make a lovely couple!

I never thought of Mette-Marit as being like wine, but I definitely agree with you CD -- she gets better looking with age.

Yesterday Haakon and Mette-Marit visited AKSEPT in Oslo, Its a day center for people (and their relatives) who have AIDS\HIV. There are 2300-2500 People with HIV\AIDS in Norway and an additional 2-300 that does not know that they have the virus. The press was not allowed inside.

Haakon and Mette-Marit and HIV/AIDS
Like Princess Mathilde of Belgium, Mette-Marit has become a special representative for UNAIDS (another one is the current Miss Universe)
From April 25-26 she will make a working visit to Geneva to familiarise herself with the organisation and their work.

Aftenpostes says she will arrive on the 24th, it was Queen Sonja who revealed it during their statevisit to Switzerland, the details for the visit is not ready

After the visit she will go to Stockhom for the birthdayparty of the King.
Aftenposten also say the Crown Prince Family will celebrate easter abroad, Sonja will be in Norway for atleast part of the vacation, and the King in Mallorca sailing, and Ari Behn and the girls has gone to USA to meet up with Märtha Louise who is on book tour

Are there any pictures from Mette-Marit's lunch today for workers from Norwegian HIV/AIDS organizations? It seems like she's getting ready to resume her work with this lunch, the trip to Switzerland next week, as well as attending King Carl Gustaf's celebrations.

Older news, but I think it shows Mette-Marit's interest in HIV/AIDS related causes. When searching for some info on Mette-Marit I found this link
I know she attended the 46664 concert last year on the 11th of June, but this shows that she also attended the 46664 High Level Panel on HIV/AIDS the next day.
