I agree. No one trusts Mr. Burrell now.

Just when I thought Paul Burrell's 15 minutes were finally up.. I turn on the local Fox channel here in St. Louis and there is Paul Burrell at an upscale furniture store here to hawk his line of upscale furniture -it includes a William chair and a Kate sofa for the wedding.. He also mentioned he is the Fox wedding correspondence....As we used say in the 80's " Gag me with a spoon"

Anyway I did not think it was a wise choice for Burrell to betray Diana's confidences,if he hadn't done this,he could have been invited to Prince William's wedding. His willingness to betray private information makes him an untrustworthy soul.Burrell has tried to make it look like he was an indispensible and very important part of Diana's life, though Diana needed supprt of all people around her.He seems sincere in his book, but he is not altogether trustworthy. The handling of the stolen items episode remains questionable.Burrell could have sent items to Buckingam Palace storage facilities if he were so worried about them instead of taking them into his house.

Did anyone notice Mr. Burrell doing commentary on Fox's coverage of the 'Boat Parade on the Thames" for the Queen's Jubilee? I did and was 'very surprised' to say the least. I can't understand why FOX news would even THINK to invite him. What does he know about the different boats that were on the water that day? Maybe he's threatened them with a lawsuit if FOX doesn't keep him employed. Disgusting! with a capital 'D'

Was this man betrayed by the RF during the trial? Could that have sparked something in him where he thinks he owes them no loyalty? I don't like the SOB I would hate to have someone I have trusted to abuse that trust as he did, but I am wondering if the RF screwed him during the trial.

Not really knowing the man himself, all I can do is base an opinion on what I've read over the years. Burrell was a butler. As such, I really don't think the BRF would ever think of him as anything else than a butler in service to the family. It is true though that while he worked for Diana, Princess of Wales, the relationship between Diana and Paul was a more relaxed one and I do honestly believe that Diana came to see him as a trusted friend. I also think that perhaps Mr. Burrell believed his role was more important than it really was.
As to did the RF screw Burrell over? I don't think so. I don't think they gave him much thought at all.

I think it was very much a case of Burrell exaggerating his own importance in Diana's life. There were even reports, around the time of her death by some of her close friends/family, that she intended on sacking him.
I think he screwed the BRF and his own family and not the other way round.

I am referring to the trial not what happened before or after it. He was accused of stealing things and the Queen helped him out at the last minute? If she had stepped forward earlier could she have prevented the whole thing and saved him from the trial? And if so perhaps that's what sparked him to no longer feel loyalty to people who would hang him out to dry like that.

I think it`s a case where the Queen had a meeting with him where they talked about all kinds of things, including his having some of Diana`s possessions `for safe-keeping`. Then I think it went into the back of HM`s mind because, lets face it, she has a LOT of things to think about--all those state papers and meeting people and so on...I don`t have trouble with the idea that she suddenly remembered her conversation with Burrell. I honestly think that Burrell has delusions of grandeur. The real thing.

Princess Diana's famous companion will join Janice Dickinson, James Hill and Austin Armacost as part of a royal themed task.
Over the next few days, British Housemates will become members of Big Brother’s Royal Family, while the Americans will serve as their staff.
While it is currently unknown how long Paul will stay in the house it is believed his stay will be more than just a fleeting vist.
In fact he may not leave until Friday's live eviction show with show bosses hoping for a repeat of his bizarre performance on I'm a Celeb back in 2004.

"I have met some of the world’s most important people - Kings and Queens, Presidents and First Ladies, movie stars and The Pope.
"I wasn’t intimidated by them, so I won’t be intimidated by the people in the Big Brother House."
Brag, brag, brag. Yes, Paul, we know.

Exactly. I was wondering whether his florist business might not be doing well.

I would imagine the flowers are still growing pretty well as it seems he's still got a lot of fertilizer sprouting from his mouth.

I imagine he would need the money since quality offers don't seem to be coming his way. I mean, going on this show with all the Z-listers is pretty much scraping the bottom of the barrel.
And the Americans will be the "servants"? That will go over well.
