The strange pics are from a photoshoot from I think Karl Lagerfeld. He pictured princess Caroline with historical costume on historical roles.

These photoshoots are from Francesco Vezzoli, inspired by a film with Greta Garbo on 1933 "Queen Christina". The actress posed for a same portrait. The second pic is inspired by Christina of Sweden

On the occasion of Princess Caroline's 59th birthday yesterday, Paris Match has published a gallery of photos taken during Caroline's first interview with the magazine in December 1972 - very lovely photos, several ones have been published before, but I think some have not:

UAU!!! So young and already so gorgeous and with such personality... Seeing her with P. Grace makes me think that P. Grace must have been such great mother... Maybe Caroline learned to be the mother she has always been to her children with her...

Princess Caroline Pictures: 70s & 80s - Part 3
After seeing the beautiful docu Ingrid in her own words,I think the picture of Caroline with Roberto Rossellini and his mother was taken at the house on the island of Lars, Ingrid's 3rd husband.

The last time I saw a picture of Roberto Rossellini was in Stefano's funeral. I think it was him who introduced Stefano to Caroline.

They were still in touch after Stefano's death - there is a picture if him with Andrea only a few months later and also I remember some blurry shots of them talking at a wedding at the time when Caroline had lost her hair. I don't know about now.

As I remember, Caroline and Robertino had a tender flirt some months after Stefano's death and before Vincent Lindon. The first Christmas after Stefano's death, Grimaldi family went to Jamaica (there are pics from this vacation). Caroline stayed there for a few days more with Robertino and her chlidren. Robertino was very close to her in very serious periods of her life: after her divorce with Junot, after her mother's death and Stefano's death.

Where is the island of Lars ?
And a coincidence: Robertino and Caroline lost their mothers (who both were famous actors) in the same time. Ingrid Berman died in 29 August 1982 and Grace Kelly in 14 September 1982.

As far as I'm aware Caroline and Robertino were romantically involved after her divorce from Junot and split up not long before she became involved with Stefano. They were friends during and after her marriage to Stefano but I don't think there was anything romantic. Her involvement with Vincent Lindon began within 6 months of Stefano's death.

Also, the picture with Andrea is late 1990, early 1991 - possibly on that Jamaican holiday you mention. Another magazine I remember having.
