And I cant say that a person with amputated leg is normal. Normal is the human being has two legs and two arms. Not that node have to have prejudice or diminish the person, but we can not be hypocrites.
Not just men apparently.

I gotta say...you are making a lot of assumptions here without any supporting proof.Harry has never related to an ugly woman...and you know this how.

The fact is that that you have mocked this woman's face and minimized [and dismissed ] her sacrifice says a lot more about you than Harry.

And to say that any person who doesn't have two legs and two arms isn't normal...wow...I am just shocked.

Reading through the posts in relationship to superficial people with superficial assumptions of what is normal or not, it just makes me stand by my opinion that Harry is no where near the model presented as "all men". This model of superficiality bases everything on appearance and most likely has a check off list of "criteria" for whom to be seen with. Good bank account, good teeth and whatnot. It is those type of men that superficial women spend a lot of green dollars on to be perfect and noticed by these superficial men. Being superficial is not normal. Its a jaded view of humanity.

Harry, although in a very privileged position in life, is a real down to earth human being that through his own experiences, has found a remarkable way to honor, support and champion his brothers and sisters in arms that need it. Harry could very well be an "in name only" patron but he goes the extra miles and dreams up ways to make things work even better (instituting the Invictus Games). He sees people for who they are and not for how they rate on a criteria list.

I cannot believe I'm reading this. As someone with a disability, I can say that not all men are as you describe. I'm married, and my husband sees me as 'normal', whatever that means. Yes, I've dealt with people who refused to give me the time of day because they saw that I had a white cane, and saw what I couldn't do, but I've also come across people who gave me a chance, and saw that I was a pretty kick-butt human being. Henry may have his preferences, but I think when he finds 'the one', he'll not care if she's in a wheelchair, with a prosthetic limb, blind, etc. As to the young lady in the article, there's nothing wrong with her at all. I didn't see any scars until the article pointed them out. War is ugly, and those who sacrifice their lives so that we may live in a free world deserve respect and recognition. Henry gave this woman that, along with compassion. I work with children who have severe disabilities, and you know what? They're intelligent, and understand so much. They may do things differently, but that doesn't make them freaks of nature. Anyway, if you're interested in learning more, please check 'Members' Corner' for a thread on bullying.

Very emotional, so she didn't hesitate to throw in his arms
For me it was all armed to let Harry affected, including the dog tag. Sorry, but sincerity is one of my qualities
Did you know that she postponed the amputation of her leg to do WWtW for months? Could you imagine the amount of physical pain she was in for the majority of the time. To question her sincerity like she was just some random woman throwing herself at him for fame is insulting.

. . .

Kirstie is intelligent and brave and has a proven ability to perform a difficult job and to tolerate great pain and work hard and rise above adversity. She is better than normal. Harry would be lucky to have a woman like her walking by his side.
After reading about what Ms. Ennis has endured as a soldier, I could never consider her "normal" -- extraordinary is the only word that I can use to describe her. Any man -- including Harry -- would be extremely blessed to have her by his side.

^ I think if Kirstie was free and he and she had a spark, I don't think Harry would think twice about asking her out. I believe it's character and personality that counts with him.
Harry's reputedly had many girlfriends. I doubt that all were stunning beauties.

This is one of the foulest posts I've ever read on this forum and you should be ashamed. That woman made a major sacrifice and for you to belittle her and mock her disability says nothing whatsoever about her but says a lot about you.

I just want to say hurrah for all the non-hypocritical people I have gotten to know here on the forums that are also broad minded about what is normal and beautiful. Mods, I'm off topic, but I had to say it. Hats off to the open minds here among my fellows.

Time to move the discussion on. Whilst different opinions are welcome, members are asked to think carefully of the impact their comments might make before posting about sensitive subjects and to be mindful that such comments may be offensive or upsetting to others.

Members are also asked to report posts that they find offensive, rather than trying to tackle the situation head-on within the thread.

This is an excellent cause and I really hope that Harry signs up for it. It's a pity he can't undertake it in 2016.

I think this will be a wonderful chance to get out in the fresh air for Armed Forces day in June. Help the Walk with the Wounded Warriors charity and experience some of the Highland scenery the Queen and her family enjoys every summer. Great that the Queen agreed to this.

What a special way for HM to show how much she loves and supports her grandson. I don't think I've ever heard of the grounds being opened for the public before at Balmoral and this should be a wonderful experience for every participant.

With this event planned and perhaps another trek across America planned along with Harry's Invictus games, you really get the clear picture that Harry is very actively involved in all of these and not just putting his name on it as a patron.

Prince Harry visited the Gateshead Civic Centre to discuss how Walking With the Wounded is working with the local council and police:

Harry's looking very trim! Great to see that people waited to see him and are impressed with his work over the years to help wounded vets.

I loved the DM's pics. Harry came off as down to earth and super charming!
Gotta love him!

Yes, three different engagements today. The north west of England doesn't see royalty that often and it's good that crowds came out and waited to see him and that he responded so well to them and to those he met at his engagements. He got some lovely flowers too!
