Expressen about Daniel becoming the patron of the Swedish Basketball Federation.

- The Prince has accepted this and thinks it is good to support various forms of sport and in this case it is about basketball, says Chief Margareta Thorgren.
She continues:
- There are many sports that need attention and just basketball is something often played both at school and at leisure centers and so on. It's a huge sport that in this case gets extra attention thanks to this three-year patronage.
More specifically, what the Prince's patronage will mean has not been discussed clearly yet. But it is about being a face out and being in place at various events.
- Exactly what that means, we have not finished talking about, but we have sent a request to the court to get the Prince's patronage. And that because we know that he has seen the work we do in Swedish basketball for society as, for example, promoters of public health in economically vulnerable areas, but also that we work successfully with integration and gender equality, says Mats Carlson. We believe that it can help open doors when the Crown Princess couple are also involved in Generation Pep, where we hope to participate.
The Swedish women's national team in basketball just played the European Championships where they went to the quarter finals and also secured a ticket to the Olympic Games. The success is one reason why the request to Prince Daniel was sent now. And that Prince Daniel was asked was because of the prince's interests.
- Secondly we know that Prince Daniel comes from Ockelbo which is a basketball place and that he has been interested in basketball even previously. Then we have a secretary general from Ockelbo, which may make things easier.
What does it mean for basketball that Prince Daniel accepted?
*- It is extremely positive and we take it as an acknowledgment to that the work we do is positive and that the Crown Princess couple appreciates it.
He continues:
- We think that this is proof that we do something good for Sweden and Prince Daniel would not give his name on this if he didn't know that this is something that contributes to an even better Sweden.
Prins Daniel blir Basketbollförbundets beskyddare.

Article in finnish women's magazine Anna some weeks ago

Princess Victoria lives a luxurious life but manages to look like an ordinary family mother - that's how she does it
Princess Victoria has succeeded in branding herself as a royal, down-to-earth family mom who is easy to identify with and doesn't put too much pressure on other women.
It's just over six in the morning of June 12, but isn't that woman on the platform Princess Victoria? Yes! Relaxed in jeans and a light blouse, the crown princess jumps at Stockholm Central Station and waves as a sign of victory. Victoria is leaving with Princess Sofia by train to Dalarna. There they hike in Fulufjället National Park.
Victoria is celebrating as she is completing a giant contract. In less than two years she has practically walked across her future kingdom, Sweden.
When she turned 40, Victoria asked for a birthday present from 25 provinces in Sweden. She wanted to explore Sweden's nature and the rugged landscapes and suggested that each of the provinces would welcome her to a hike.
The proposal was more than welcome to the provinces. Every place saw the opportunity of a royal visit to bring the important things of your home region to the national spotlight for a moment. Each Swede also felt themselves as important when a beloved princess wanted to visit their home.
And the future queen, who knows Swedes' feelings and the nation's character, didn't wait for the rigid reception where the people should have been dressed up, excite their manners, or wonder who might be sitting next to the guest of honour; the wise princess suggested brisk jogging with suitable clothing. That was fine.
The hikes started in September 2017 from Västergötland. Last year Victoria traveled in 12 provinces. This year, since March, she has made more than two hikes a month and completed the project in Dalarna. It's easy to believe that Victoria had a feeling of a winner at that point.
Princess Victoria is good at reading Nordic values
- Princess Victoria is really good at reading the values of the Nordic people, says social psychologist, docent Kaarina Mönkkönen at the University of Eastern Finland.
- Victoria and her small family have become a kind of mirror of the values of Swedish society. The Princess always works within the limits of all standards of aptitude, but manages to be a role model and influencer in her own conventional way.
Mönkkönen is particularly impressed with Victoria's success in turning ordinariness into the cornerstone of her own brand. Provincial hikes further strengthened it.
- Victoria is down to earth. She doesn't try to uphold too traditional values, but works to allow ordinary people to identify with her. This is how she brings the royal house at this time and decreases the gap with the people, says Mönkkönen.
In her opinion, Victoria exudes genuine warmth.
- In social situations people are careful observers. We are sensitive to the presentation and sense of genuine sincerity. Princess Victoria always looks like she is really trying to meet the people and be truly present. It can be seen in her eyes.
The same is told by Kerstin Nilsson from Aftonbladet, who followed Victoria's Dalarna hike: "It is impressive how she has time for everyone. The schedule gets never so tight that she doesn't have time to take a selfie with those who want to, admire the scouts' skilled works or the children's drawings. As she greets, she looks everyone in the eye. Passing by is not Victoria's thing", Kerstin writes.
- What kind of female image does Victoria convey? Kaarina Mönkkönen ponders.
When king Carl Gustaf celebrated his 73rd birthday, the royal family came to the royal palace to greet the citizens. In Victoria's lap was a three-year-old prince Oscar who suddenly wanted to kiss her mother directly in the mouth.
Victoria didn't try to stop the little prince. On the contrary, she showed her emotions, laughed, and responded happily to the kiss to the little man. Later she gave a caring kiss to Princess Estelle's cheek.
The event was very typical to Victoria: she broke the traditional royal code that family members hardly show each other affection in public. At the same time, she took strongly on the role of a mother and woman.
- Victoria is not a radical reformer, but works well in a traditional field of influence given to a woman. It includes human values such as children and family, charity, care, equality, environmental issues. She is hardly presenting hard speech or dynamic performance associated with the masculine world of values, says Mönkkönen.
She recalls that even today, business executives are being asked to tell a story about themselves, which helps them make a brand. Victoria also has a story.
- Victoria is building a story about herself as an ordinary, down-to-earth family mom who is easy to identify with and doesn't put too much pressure on other women. Prince Daniel by her side has embraced the style of being a nice man and a family father. There is no arrogance in him. This supports the story of Victoria.
In Mönkkönen's view, the image of Victoria is very much in line with the values of young and middle-aged women in particular.
- Among them are certainly her most loyal admirers. The Crown Princess has been able to build a very strong foundation of trust. If she were to do something surprising now, admirers would surely be prepared to forgive her a great deal.
Swedish blogger, journalist and style expert Ebba Kleberg von Sydow knows Princess Victoria personally. She has, among other things, visited the princess's home at Haga Palace.
- Victoria is working hard to help her family live as normal family life as possible. Haga Palace looks like home and they live normal everyday life there. As I sat in the living room, Prince Oscar ran into the room, shouting "Mom", just like any little boy.
According to Ebba, Victoria's position is so special that when she is a role model for many women, she doesn't really have a role model herself. The queens who are or were regnants are clearly of a different generation than Victoria. She must do it alone now.
Ebba says that Victoria wants to do at least one thing unlike her own parents.
- When Victoria was a child, she and her siblings were kept hidden. In practice, this meant that the royal children spent a great deal of time with their nannies while the parents were representing. Later, they had to learn about publicity. Victoria wants her own children to get used to the publicity from a young age. Therefore, the children are there to represent with her and Daniel whenever possible.
"She is the expected superstar of every event"
As a style expert, Ebba can also read Victoria's dressing carefully. Contrary to what one might imagine, there is nothing random about it.
- Victoria's stylist has been Tina Törnqvist for ten years. Together, they have created a modern royal style for Victoria that supports her image. Tina does a lot of work before each formal meeting, finding out everything that could affect Victoria's choice of outfit.
- Victoria doesn't want to be over-dressed, but she is expected to always be a little more glamorous than the rest. She is the expected superstar of every event, whose arrival is a festive moment. Often Victoria's outfit crowns the moment.
Victoria wears a lot of swedish designer clothes. The night before hike in Dalarna was the Polar Music Prize Gala. Victoria was wearing a pink tulle gown designed by Selam Fessahaye who has roots in Eritrea. She is considered to be a cross-border talent whose costumes have so far been chosen only by bold dressers who know their style. With Victoria joining this group, the princess has find her style. If necessary, she really dares to shine. For Selam, Victoria's choice meant a final breakthrough in Sweden.
Ebba also reveals that Victoria indeed wears the clothes of cheap swedish brands like H & M, but her clothes do not come straight from the store's bars.
- They are sewn to the princess as a bespoke.
Princess Victoria is interested in Finland
Victoria's province hikes in Sweden prompted Anna's reader panelists to also suggest that we invite the Crown Princess to Karhunkierros in Oulanka National Park. It's not a bad idea, because Liisa Talonpoika, the Ambassador of Finland to Sweden, knows that the princess is very interested in Finland and knows our country well.
Liisa Talonpoika's work began a year ago when, at the beginning of her term, she was invited to Princess Adrienne's christening. Later she has met the royal family and Princess Victoria a few times.
- The royal family is very active towards the diplomatic corps. They invite ambassadors to meetings that are always very well organized.
The Crown Princess has also made an impression to Liisa Talonpoika.
- Princess Victoria is a very pleasant interlocutor. You can feel her genuineness and she is well acquainted in what is being discussed. Even though the meeting follows protocol, the atmosphere is spontaneous. It feels always that here a person meets another.

What a marvellous article and right on the money I think. She and Daniel will have no problem bringing thei children up as good Swedes and educated Royals. Of course, prior to school the children can go with them. Later they can face time or Skype. Travel and communication is so much faster than it was when her parents travelled.

As to introducing the children to royal life? I think she is well on the way with the way she has included Estelle into her birthday celebrations and now Oscar is there too.

Estelle started toddling with her Mama and now she carries a basket to collect the flowers. Victoria and Daniel are well on their way to their goals

The various quotes and comments in this article reinforce my sense that Crown Princess Victoria (and, since marriage, Prince Daniel) has carefully tailored the execution and image of her position to the values, traditions, feelings, and expectations of the prevailing Swedish culture and society.

I agree although I'd say that instead of tailoring their image they've been skilled at letting their own values and personalities come across so openly.
It's an excellent article that, in my opinion, describes well both the Crown Princess' use of and approach to her position in addition the genuine respect and affection that Swedes in general have for her and her family.

Thank you for the lovely article, LadyFinn.
Interesting that Victoria and her siblings weren't seen much as children - I wonder if this is why she is making sure Estelle and Oscar are being eased into royal duties at an early age (especially as she has Daniel's input now too, given that he is a "commoner" from outside circles - having a fresh pair of eyes can be enlightening!).

Expressen's royal expert Karin Lennmor at her chronicle.

This is how Victoria and Daniel live when no one is looking
Have you ever thought about what it would feel like to be royal, if only for a day?
Luxury life with limousines, help and support in both work and private life and staff who wash, iron and clean. You may have dreamed of all this?
But you know what - for Crown Princess Victoria and her family, it's just the opposite! The highest luxury is being able to live like an ordinary Swedish family.
This is Victoria's strength and that is why in the future she will become a popular queen with her feet on the ground. She enjoys the small, simple life.
The Crown Princess's siblings travel on luxury holidays to St. Tropez, Florida or the Swiss Alps, but Victoria and Daniel prefer to go with the kids and camp in Härjedalen. It says a lot!
In 2009, the total renovation of Haga Palace began, which is now the home of the Crown Princess family. But, palace and castle - Haga, with its 41 rooms, looks more like an overgrown Djursholm villa than a palace.
- Our home is not as "palatial" as you think, Victoria told a group of children during one of her province hikes.
25 of the rooms, located in the west, Victoria, Daniel and the children have privately at their disposal. It has a gym, veranda and TV room. The attic is furnished as a playroom for the children.
It is modern, young and good-looking in a classic way. The color range goes in gray and white with some accents in apricot. White sofas and quite a lot decorative items. The Kvänum brand's private kitchen and the biggest luxury is an exclusive stove by the brand Aga.
Daniel has been joking about how lousy Victoria is at cooking. It is usually he who prepares the dinner. Pasta dishes are a favorite, but Victoria, who thinks about health and figure, often prefers fish and vegetables. But sometimes there is a slight deviation from health. Victoria loves her mother-in-law Eva's cabbage pudding and she has said that it can be a bit much candy sometimes.
If the Crown Princess is uninterested in cooking, she thinks it is even more fun to bake in the kitchen with the children.
And if someone sorts the waste wrongly in the kitchen at Haga, Victoria has falcon eyes. Environmental thinking is important to her.
Does the Crown Princess couple buy the food themselves? Well… just like in many modern families, home delivery applies, type Mathem. But in the summers on Öland, it is a luxury to go to the local Ica shop Slottshallen. I have seen the Crown Princess couple there, reviewing the barbecue meat for dinner. Or to the Pressbyrån at Stora Torget. Here, they sometimes slip in to buy a Piggelin for Estelle.
The family has money. But they are still economical and sparing. The other year, Prince Daniel and Estelle showed up on the midday sale in a large sports chain store on Kungsgatan to buy ski equipment for the children at discount prices.
On vacant weekends and holidays the Crown Princess family is happy to go to Öland, there is the family's own house Villa Skönvik. It is a large, airy house with many guest rooms and a lovely pool. But of course often Daniel's home town Ockelbo and his parents Olle and Eva are also visited. Victoria and Daniel also have their oasis just outside Bollnäs.
At home at Haga Palace there is also an everyday life and Victoria doesn't want to waste any minute with the children when she is at home. So far there is not much homework, Estelle has just started first class on Campus Manilla and little Oscar goes to preschool Lilla Kvikkjokk, which is also at Djurgården.
- I want the children to grow up like normal children, Victoria said. And I think their friends treat them that way.
Outdoor life and lots of outdoor activities are top priority. And you don't have to go far - the family has the whole big Haga park around the corner.
Just like all other families, it is cozy Friday and TV viewing at Victoria's home. Of course, the children have their own iPads and Prince Daniel told on one occasion that they try to limit Estelle and Oscar's screen time.
We know that Victoria likes program "Antikrundan", she actually participated there earlier this year. The crown princess follows the news broadcasts of course and it is said that she watches the streamed TV series "Game of Thrones" as we all.
With the musical taste of our future queen, it is the same. Victoria is not a connoisseur, but likes good Swedish music, such as Tomas Ledin, Roxette, Kent and First Aid Kit. And Melodifestival winner John Lundvik of course. Did you know that he was involved in writing "When you tell the world you're mine" that Björn Skifs and Agnes performed at Victoria and Daniel's wedding?
KARIN LENNMOR_ Så lever Victoria och Daniel när ingen ser

Karin Lennmor has a house on Öland quite close to Solliden and she spends her summers there, so she also often sees the members of the royal family in Borgholm shopping.

Olympic champion Peter "Foppa" Forsberg was interviewed by Svenska Dagbladet's Perfect Guide and he was also asked how he is like when playing golf with Daniel.

How competitive are you in private? Can you get pissed when you play golf with Prince Daniel?
- I'm not like when I played hockey. I could say whatsoever to the opponents but I can't say whatsoever to Daniel. But I find it difficult to play golf without writing down the results for the whole round.

Court Instagram, photo from yesterday evening
Tonight, the Crown Princess and Prince Daniel saw Tennessee Williams' "Linje lusta" (A Streetcar Named Desire) at The Royal Dramatic Theatre's small stage.
After the performance, the Crown Princess couple met the ensemble behind the stage.
https://www.instagram.com/p/B2ANphnADH2/

Victoria and Daniel had a real full night yesterday. Together with two friends they saw the Dramaten's most celebrated play right now. The country's national scene has had a turbulent year, but has now taken action and is once again receiving a royal visit.
- They were here privately, with two friends, and they saw our mega success Linje Lusta, which goes for sold out houses on the Lilla Scenen right now, says Lena Törner, press officer at Dramaten to Svensk Damtidning.
- Afterwards, they met the ensemble backstage, it became a committed conversation about vulnerability and mental ill-health, and about theater that highlights. It was a nice meeting in the kitchen behind the Lilla Scenen. And then we took a group picture of course with the whole ensemble.
Do you get signals in advance before you get a royal visit?
- Yes, we always get that. But in this case, they were here completely privately. Then we invite them on a regular basis too, like at the Ingmar Bergman festival last year.
And how often do you have someone from the royal family in place?
- Almost always at some time per season. It's their theater - and ours, and all of Sweden! Last spring, for example the Crown Princess and Prince Daniel were here and watched the Dresser with Sven-Bertil Taube.
Court: So Victoria and Daniel liked Linje Lusta
The crown princess couple had a very special theater experience last night is also confirmed by Margareta Thorgren.
- They thought the show was very good! she tells to Svensk Damtidning.
How often does the Crown Princess couple go to the theater?
- Regularly. They always try to catch up with different cultural activities, if time is available.

Choir debut for Princess Estelle - with mom and dad in the audience!
Princess Estelle has started in a choir! Yesterday it was a concert, with Victoria, Daniel and Prince Oscar in the audience. Watch her sing here.
So far we have only heard her sing Tomtarnas julnatt in the royal family's Christmas movie - but last night it was serious at a stage for Princess Estelle. Together with her school friends from Campus Manilla at Djurgården she sang the songs Tillsammans för Världens Barn and Ge världens barn världens chans.
The venue for the concert was the Grindtorp Church in Täby north of Stockholm and mother Victoria, dad Daniel and little brother Oscar sat in the audience to listen. Certainly a bit exciting for Estelle, but nice that her friends were there.
- It was her music teacher who had arranged this children's concert and there were 50-60 children on stage. It was really engaging and joyful and it was a joy to sit there in the audience and listen, says Christina Pihl, who has also taken the nice picture of Estelle with the family.
Christina is a business advisor and marketer and together with her colleague Markus made the film about the global sustainable development goals that premiered yesterday evening. It will be shown around the country at all concerts that support Världens Barn fundraising that is currently underway.
- I was so happy and proud, the crown princess was above all there as a mother, but also to show her support for Världens Barn (Children of the World).
To kill two birds with one stone, for Crown Princess Victoria: she got to both listen to her daughter and support the Children of the World. The Crown Princess is also one of 17 ambassadors for the UN Global Sustainable Development Goals within Agenda 2030. The mission is to promote the UN's goals for sustainable development, and it is precisely for the Crown Princess that issues are related to water and health.

Princess Estelle sang with Perla in the Grindtorp Church
It was a princess visit to the Grindtorp church in Täby, north of Stockholm on Wednesday evening, when Estelle was one of the children who participated in the choir singing along with singer Perla Bjurenstedt in favor of Radiohjälpen's collection for the world's children.
During the autumn, artist Perla Bjurenstedt is busy organizing the Världens Barn concerts, where school children attend and sing and raise money for Radiohjälpen's work. Seven-year-old Princess Estelle was one of some 60 enthusiastic children who performed in the Grindtorp Church, a Pentecostal church in Täby.
- It was a wonderful bunch that gave everything and it was a fantastic atmosphere, says Perla Bjurenstedt.
Was it princess hysteria?
- No. Her friends at school are so used to her, so for them she is like any other girl. Estelle is a normal, yet uncommon, seven-year-old.
Sing enthusiastically
Perla Bjurenstedt says that Estelle was singing along with her whole body.
- She was incredibly enthusiastic and knew the songs.
- Even when I sang the verses, she was one of the children who still sang along, and it was great, even though it was the choruses we practiced, says Perla.
"When we sang it lifted the ceiling"
It was Perla Bjurenstedt's own songs that were performed, and he can happily state that Estelle has his records at home that she seems to have listened to.
- The final song is the one I've used in every concert for twenty years. It's called "Give the world's children the chance" and as we sang it lifted the roof of the church.
Crown Princess family in place
Also in the audience were Estelle's parents, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel, and little brother, Prince Oscar.
It was a very prestigeless family, says Perla Bjurenstedt.
- They sat and filmed and sang along, like a family in the gang.
- Afterwards I got to meet them. They were wonderful people, I was taken by their openness. It was fun to see them sit and sing along and with them there was a little extra party atmosphere.
Tribute to the whole team
Perla Bjurenstedt is also keen to highlight her band, choir leader Linda Dominique and all volunteers from Grindtorp Church. He mentions Läkarmissionen and the collection to the children of the world in each and every other sense. For princess glory in all honor, without a good collaboration, there would be no concert and no relief effort for people in need.

Nice to hear that Estelle was at an event with her classmates. It seems that she's getting on well at school.

That is an very good photo of Daniel.

Congratulations Prince Daniel! So he celebrates his birthday
Cake on the bed and drawings from the children. That's how Prince Daniel chooses to celebrate his birthday when he is now entering his 46th year of life. Romantic dinners with Victoria will come when Estelle and Oscar have grown older.
Today, Prince Daniel turns 46 and Margareta Thorgren tells that he is celebrating privately with his family Victoria, Estelle and Oscar. In fact, the prince's birthday, just this year, falls on a couple of really heavy work days. The Crown Princess couple prepares for an official trip to Denmark, where they travel on Monday, and before that Victoria attends the Council of State.
The birthday prince would of course be able to take a romantic dinner with his wife tonight, since neither Victoria nor Daniel have any event planned in the royal calendar, but the Crown Princess couple are of the opinion that birthdays - they celebrate with family. Whether you have a lot of material to go through before the official Denmark's trip or longing for a romantic dinner.
Time with the children is the most important thing for Victoria and Daniel. As soon as they are free, it is activities with them that take priority.
In addition, Daniel may be celebrated by the Danish Crown Prince couple, Frederik and Mary, next week. Of course, they will meet Victoria and Daniel during the visit and, as you know, are good friends to the Crown Princess couple. The program is of course packed, but the couple have certainly planned in some spare time together to talk about the children and all the royal duties they have in common.

The photo is taken in Gustav III's pavilion in Haga Park. Haga Palace in Haga Park in Solna outside Stockholm is also home to the Crown Princess family, who last week participated in a folk festival in the park when the so-called Pep Day was organized - a day that will motivate the movement for the whole family.
- We sit more and more and move less. This is a major challenge that we must try to address and this is a way to try to find joy in movement, said Prince Daniel then.
Prince Daniel celebrates home with his family at Haga
This Sunday, he celebrates his birthday with stillness at home at the palace, according to Margareta Thorgren, director of the press department.
- The Crown Princess family celebrates together with the family there at home. The day is celebrated completely private. It will be a traditional celebration of Prince Daniel, she says.

Generation Pep congratulates Daniel
"Today we congratulate Generation Pep's founder Prince Daniel on his birthday! Almost three years ago, Generation Pep was started on the initiative of the Crown Princess couple, who together with actors from all over the community want to pursue an ambitious and long-term public health work with children and young people in focus. Today we celebrate Prince Daniel with a request to take time for some extra joy of movement. Take a walk, build an obstacle course or take some dance steps on the way to the store - all movement makes a difference to health, and joy of movement comes in all forms"

This is how Daniel trains to achieve the super body
Daniel lives as he teaches and spends a lot of time in the home gym at Haga. New pictures of the prince also gossip that he has started to use a new training method. We have talked to a personal trainer who tells you more.
Exercise and health are extremely important to Prince Daniel. He has a background as a personal trainer at the luxury gym Master Training at Östermalm in Stockholm, and that is where he met his beloved Victoria.
Nowadays, the prince has a schedule that beats most of them. With representation dinners at the Royal Palace, and long trips abroad, it will not be much leisure, but that does not mean that he chooses to skip the training. On the contrary! Once the Crown Princess couple is home at Haga, they are diligent users of the well-equipped Palace gym.
When Daniel showed up in Haga Park in conjunction with Pep Day, he showed off an incredibly well-trained body. And it seems that he now focuses a lot more on exercises involving arm and chest muscles - which testifies that new training tools have been added to the Palace gym.
We have talked to Sandra Larsson who is a personal trainer at a fitness center in Djursholm. She says this about Daniel's new super body and the training method that the prince, probably, uses.
- Prince Daniel has probably used free weights, such as dumbbells and barbells, and certainly some exercises with just his body as weight to build his arms and chest muscles.
The gym at Haga is sacred for several reasons. This is where Victoria and Daniel gain power when the royal workload is hard or when they need to think of something else after a long day in the king's service.
But it is also an important space because it reminds them of how the love story once began. And it was precisely among the free weights, barbells and pilates balls that their friendship developed into love as it began.

ROYAL (Archiv): Muskelpaket Prinz Daniel - was hinter der Verwandlung steckt

Seven years between the two photos
The newly shot image shows a much more relaxed side of Daniel. And it's not just the eyeglasses that have softened. This time they have chosen to photograph the prince at home in Haga and the supervision, in Gustav III's pavilion, is much more comfortable than seven years ago. Today, Daniel has grown into the royal costume and his role, in the work of representing Sweden, feels obvious. Together with Victoria, he is the proud founder of the organization Generation Pep, which works to disseminate knowledge and create commitment to children's movement needs and health.
He also travels the country and kingdom together with Prince Daniel's Fellowship - which wants to inspire and encourage young entrepreneurs. In other words, the prince has managed to include his two greatest passions, training and enterprise, in his royal role.
It also feels like Victoria and Daniel have found a clear balance between their public roles and the most private. Princess Estelle, who will one day become queen of Sweden, has of course followed her parents on some royal assignments, while Prince Oscar, who is only three years old, is seen much less often. In addition, they go to Ockelbo all the time and then the children get an insight into how Dad Daniel grew up. Far away from the royal salons.

Well apart from his ghastly round spectacles yhat make him look like he could pack for a week in the bags under his eyes, he's looking happier and more relaxed.

Victoria certainly picked a winner even if she's not much good as a second opinion when he's getting new specs! (After 50 years of picking specs I consider myself an expert).

That's how Victoria was transformed into an international fashion icon
She beats everyone with amazement - time and time again. But that's not always the case.
Here we talk about how Victoria became a stylish fashion icon.
Crown Princess Victoria now belongs to one of the most brilliant fashion icons in the royal world and wherever she comes she is acclaimed for her internationally stylish style.
However, this has not always been the case and the Crown Princess has herself told in interviews that her clothing interest was not very big from the start.
Behind Victoria's stunning transformation stands her super-skilled stylist Tina Törnqvist.
Everything eventually changed when Tina Törnqvist entered the life of the Crown Princess. She works as a chambermaid and stylist and has done wonders with Victoria and her dress style.
As knowledge also came into the picture, Victoria's own fashion interest has also grown. Today, she is reportedly very committed when it comes to what garments she should wear. There were direct trips to Paris and Milan where they were shopping at the finest fashion houses. In recent years, the crown princess has also increasingly chosen Swedish and Nordic design, not least budget garments from H&M.
During her recent visit to Denmark, it became clear again that Victoria has a rock solid control in fashion when all experts happily nodded and thumbed up.

Svensk Damtidning tells that Daniel had a private lunch at Taverna Brillo in Stockholm today. At the same table was Madeleine's friend Ellen Dinkelspiel and mediaperson and writer Alex Schulman with his wife Amanda. Also former alpine skier olympia champion Anja Pärson and singer Per Gessle were at the restaurant at the same time.

Leif GW Persson comes out again on top when the Swedish people get to choose which celebrity you prefer to have fika with. In the survey, made by Novus on behalf of Circle K, more than one in four Swedes stated that they prefer to get along with the popular criminologist. Crown Princess Victoria is in second place.
In the survey, more than 1,000 Swedes answered the question of which celebrity they would like to have a coffee with. For the second year in a row, the survey shows that Leif GW Persson is the Swedes' dream company. As many as 26 per cent of Swedes prefer to get together with the outspoken criminology professor and the author of decks. It is mainly men (33 percent), people over 50 (30 percent) and residents in Western Sweden (34 percent) who want to have coffee with Leif GW Persson.
Like last year, Crown Princess Victoria is the Swedes' most popular coffee company. Almost one fifth of the Swedish population, 18 per cent, would prefer to have coffee with the Crown Princess. Victoria is particularly popular among university graduates (23 percent) and women (22 percent).
- This is the second year in a row that Leif GW Persson comes out on top when the Swedish people are allowed to choose coffee companies. Crown Princess Victoria was number one when we did this survey two years ago, so it is clear that they are two of Sweden's most popular people, says Maria Philipson, Head of Communications at Circle K Sweden.
The survey was conducted by Novus on behalf of Circle K between August 29 and September 4, 2019. A total of 1038 web interviews were conducted in Novus randomly recruited Sweden panel among a nationally representative sample of persons aged 18-79.
Which of the following Swedish celebrities would you prefer to have fika with?
Leif GW Persson 26%
Crown Princess Victoria 18%
Mia Skäringer 14%
Greta Thunberg 8%
Sarah Sjöström 6%
Zlatan Ibrahimović 5%
Ernst Kirchsteiger 5%

Video at court's social media: Prince Oscar says also no to plastic in nature!
Filmed by Victoria
Prince Oscar cycles and shouts "Plastic, plastic! Plastic in nature!"

Kungahuset - Videot _ Facebook

Prince Oscar's sudden turn after the discovery at the roadside
A playful prince Oscar on garbage hunt with his family.
Now the cute movie clip with 3-year-old Prince Oscar is making a success on social media.
The Crown Princess himself has filmed from families private outdoor games where the little Prince is out on the hunt and becomes lyrical when he comes across plastic.
- I grew up with garbage not being in nature and a dad who has always been annoyed and picked the garbage with him, Victoria recently told TV4 in connection with World Cleanup Day.
The court publishes a clip on Instagram, a film of Crown Princess Victoria herself with her mobile phone. The film is taken during a private walk with the family, where Prince Oscar, 3, sees plastic litter out in the green.
- Plastic in nature, plastic in nature! he shouts.
The little prince's keen enthusiasm means that parents cannot help but laugh.
- Good Oscar. Plastic in nature, says Prince Daniel encouragingly.
Prins Oscars söta jakt efter plast vid vägkanten

Oscar's cute show in Haga Park! Watch as the little prince rushes along the Palace park paths - and hear his unexpected comment!
Gosh! Isn't Prince Oscar out cycling in the autumn rush? The royal court just published a movie on little Prince when he rides a pink-spiked bicycle on the paths of Haga Park.
Prince Oscar's crazy (and very cute) bike ride in Haga Park
Like all other three-year-olds, Oscar seems to love cycling, but anyone who listens a little extra also hears that he makes a comment during the bike ride.
"Plastic in nature, plastic in nature!", Oscar exclaims as he advances at a furious pace.
The film is thus taken during one of the Crown Princess family's all forest walks - when they have as a routine to collect plastic from nature. So Estelle and Oscar are so used to picking garbage that the prince screams out the assignment as soon as the family leaves the castle. Victoria and Daniel have really managed to teach their children to take care of nature.

Prince Oscar may only be three years old, but now he is making super success on Instagram after the royal house shared a movie with him filmed by Crown Princess Victoria.

Prince Oscar's plastic protest - brakes suddenly to pick up trash
Prince Oscar says also no to plastic in nature. The royal court has published a clip on Instagram where you can see the little prince suddenly brakes with his bike during a walk when he discovers that there is plastic on the ground.
- Plastic! Plastic in nature! he screams.
Littering in nature is something many people react strongly to. In many places in the country, children have engaged in collecting garbage and throwing it in the trash, where it belongs. Prince Oscar also seems to have been inspired and in a clip that the royal house recently published on Instagram you can see how committed the little prince is.
The video is filmed by Crown Princess Victoria during a private walk with the family. In the clip you can see Prince Oscar, 3, riding at full speed on his little bike. Suddenly he brakes when he sees litter on the ground.
- Plastic in nature, plastic in nature! he screams.
The Crown Princess couple has a hard time not to laugh to the prince's enthusiasm.
The royal family is already involved in environmental issues. On September 21, it was World Cleanup Day, which is another day to pay attention to the amount of litter thrown in mature. Both the Crown Princess and Estelle, 7, were on site picking garbage. Last week, the Crown Princess also participated in the climate conference "Arctic Circle" in Iceland, which was about the Arctic.
