Indeed. I've alway assumed they lived there and not at the palace...

I'm not surprised to see the "nannies" in Corsica. If you will notice it appears they are very young. I suspect their responsibility is to simply to run after the twins. My brother and I were very close in age and my mother always said that he would go in one direction and I in another. It's not a matter of being lazy, it's a matter of not being able to divide oneself in half if they decide to go off in opposite directions. They are at a VERY adventurous age, I see no problem with having "multiple gofers" just simply to keep them safe and yet give them opportunity to explore.

I don't see any problem with Princess Charlène keeping a low profile. Prince Rainier, Prince Albert, Princess Caroline... all of them have done so many official events "alone" that maybe Prince Albert has developed a laissez-faire, laissez-passer attitude towards his spouse: "If you prefer to stay with Jacques and Gabriella, that is no problem darling." It is not that it is "traditional" that spouses are escorting their royal husband. In some monarchies spouses were not even expected to attend the annual Opening of Parliament or were expected to remain home during State Funerals. There is no certain definition or blueprint of how a consort has to handle. It is a marriage in the first place. All the rest is secondary. Things keep evolving and in Monaco it looks like the Princess desires a familial role more than other aspects.

The fact is, that Charlene did more when she wans't even engaged with Prince Albert! Yes, she is a mother now, but she should grow into her role instead of making (what it seems) a regression. Aside form major events, the engamgements and duties appear to take place in Monaco or in its proximity.
What she has been achieving with her fondation is comandable, but she should really put more effort also on what is expected from her in her role as a princess consort, otherwise her words from her many interviews seem pointless. IMO

If we apply a job-description on "candidates" then probably Albert better could have married some regional blue blood, fluent in French and Occitan, knowing the Provence and adding prestige go his dynasty. On first sight Charlène has little to offer for the "job" but I think Albert was not looking for a Princess-Consort. He just felt in love and found a wife.

Some nice pictures - I like the portrait of the four of them. I also like seeing all the background shots from the balcony appearances.
Also, underneath there are some nice photos of Charlene, some of them are very posed but look effective.

Thanks, melina p. I too like the pics taken from inside the Palace. They seem mostly more informal and provides a different view. My favourites are the family pic( how the twins have changed since then! ), P Charlene holding both babies and the couple holding hands as they pose for the crowd.
Why did the PR team of the Palace not post these pictures? They seem to be quite ineffective at times. We never get any advance info on events the couple will attend, only some events are covered on the site.

She looks ridiculous and that's the most kind world I can write here. I don't care if I sound harsh, but I'm so fed up with her senseless photoshoots for the magazines. Is she in her right mind? I see that she has time to spend for posing.

Marty91charmed, how do you when some of the photos were taken? Judging by her hairstyle they were taken some time ago. Only the ones taken at the last National Day are the most recent ones and they all feature the whole family. So please stop judging Princess Charlene.

Maybe you are right and the pics are old, but she should be over the point of photoshoots by now. And the date of the photos changes nothing for me. She looks at her worst and ridiculous. That's my opinion.

The first photos are old, look at her hairdo, , one was published in Paris Match last year. They were taken in Roc Agel. they are not ridiculious at all, she is very happy in Roc Agel which is a beautiful place, I saw some pictures of the princess Grace, princess Caroline or princess Stéphanie who were as ridiculious as these photos
The photos taken during the national fest are also very beautiful.
this site my love the royals published the photos of the web of Christopher Morris, it did not publish also the photos of the christening of Jacques and Gabriella , I publish them

I don't find these pictures distasteful in the least. I think they are lovely and show a different side of the Princess. She looks very relaxed, dressed casually in an informal setting. Especially the one where she poses in a v-sit beside the pool. Nothing wrong with that.

I have to agree, what is the point of these photos? Why is she doing these shoots? I guess I just don't understand the motives behind any of these shoots, I can totally understand the ones with Albert and the children, but she has done quite a few of these with just her. And the clothes are strange.

She posed last year before the festivities of the 10 reign of Prince Albert, These photos were never published on the medias apart one which was published in Paris Match, they are beautiful and Charlene is happy .
I also like the photos of the national fest, we never saw these photos which are very nice and being the princess of Monaco, I understand that she also posed alone during the national fest.

I quite like the pictures although I think some of them are a little overposed - for want of a better word - like the stretching in her nightie shot. But she looks good, and I love the landscape.
Not sure there is a purpose as such, other than doing a photo shoot - but plenty of others have done the same, not just Caroline, Stephanie and Grace.

Some of the pictures are ricidulous, such as wearing a nightie or a convict suit-type outfit, is she sending a message?
Charlene should pose less for senseless photos and work more for Monaco.
