Weekly Update to 18th April, 2019
Easter week saw us all watch in horror as Notre Dame was burnt and we all read the words from The Queen and Charles.
Andrew finished his visit to China while Eugenie accompanied The Queen on Thursday for the Maundy Service. There are two engagements attached to that event the church service in the chapel and the subsequent reception. In past years when The Queen has gone further afield there is often also a lunch or other event on the day in question.
It has been a slowish week as the family spend time together or with their own branches of the family especially those with school aged children who are on school holidays. I am sure the children enjoy this two to three week break from school before the final term which ends in mid-July. They will have another half-term break in May I believe.
Milestones achieved this week: Nil
Approaching a milestone: Camilla is still in the 90s while Richard and Edward Kent are both still in the 40s

Announced Engagements for the week 19th to 25th April, 2019
For these engagements I am using the Future Engagements on the British Monarchy Website, The Prince of Wales website, The Duke of Yorks Website and Gerts Royals Cambridge and Sussex pages although I am only including confirmed engagements from there.
If a royal doesnt appear in this list they have no engagements listed for the upcoming week in any of these sites as at today (22nd April, Sydney time). Engagements may occur that arent announced, especially by The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the Duke of York.
The engagements that were announced on the FE and have been removed I am keeping because last year that had The Duchess of Gloucester doing a trip to Spain for the tennis for about four weeks, then about two weeks out they removed it and then, guess what that trip went ahead exactly as originally announced.
As usual The Duke of York has no announced engagements. He has announced none in advance so far this year at all.
HRH The Duke of Cambridge 1 (This is the 25th April in New Zealand details not yet announced)
HRH The Duchess of Cambridge 1
HRH The Earl of Wessex 2
HRH The Countess of Wessex 3
HRH The Princess Royal 4
HRH The Duke of Gloucester 4
HRH The Duchess of Gloucester 1
HRH The Duke of Kent 1
For the End of April 2019 (26th 30th April)
HRH The Prince of Wales 3
HRH The Duke of Cambridge 1 (This is the 26th April in New Zealand details not yet announced)
HRH The Earl of Wessex 2
HRH The Countess of Wessex 2 (Including two single days listed for a trip to India)
HRH The Princess Royal 7
HRH The Duke of Kent 1
For the rest of 2019
This list is only those who have announced engagements past the end of April and the count is from 1st May to 31st December
We know that Charles and Camilla have announced a visit to Germany in early May but there is nothing on any of the sources I use for this count (i.e. the FE or their official website) which is why there is nothing listed for Charles so far for May.
HM The Queen 12
HRH The Duchess of Cornwall 2
HRH The Earl of Wessex 11 (This includes single day visits to Slovenia, Macedonia and Croatia)
HRH The Countess of Wessex 8 (This includes the final day tour of her tour to India)
HRH The Princess Royal 41
HRH The Duke of Gloucester 17
HRH The Duchess of Gloucester 4
HRH The Duke of Kent 11

Weekly Update to 25th April, 2019
A relatively quiet week with the Easter weekend taking up 4 of the 7 days this week. Williams visit to New Zealand is only half included here as it went across the 25th and 26th April.
As an Aussie whose great-grandfather died at Gallipoli and whose great-uncle served in the NZ army in WWII, along with another two great-uncles and six of my mothers cousins who served in the Australian army during WWII ANZAC Day is a day full of commemoration and remembrance (and some football sad about the Dragons but
) it was great to see the royals out to remember this day, especially the Duke of Gloucester who attended the Dawn Service and the wreath laying at the Cenotaph in London as well as the service at the Abbey.
Milestones achieved this week: The Dukes of Gloucester and Kent both reached their half-centuries this week.
Approaching a milestone: Camilla is still in the 90s

Announced Engagements for the week 26th to 2nd May, 2019

Announced Engagements for the week 3rd to 9th May, 2019
For these engagements I am using the Future Engagements on the British Monarchy Website, The Prince of Wales website, The Duke of Yorks Website and Gerts Royals Cambridge and Sussex pages although I am only including confirmed engagements from there.
If a royal doesnt appear in this list they have no engagements listed for the upcoming week in any of these sites as at today (5th May Sydney time).
Interestingly none of the sites I use make any mention of the tour of Germany coming up for HRH The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, not even the Prince of Wales own website let alone the British monarchys FE page. Only twitter has the visit of the Duke of Sussex upcoming visit to The Hague. They are getting better at putting up the CC consistently on the British monarchy website but surely they can put up all upcoming public events in one site rather than having such an ad hoc approach. That is a very amateurish organisation in that regard in my opinion.

HRH The Prince of Wales 6 (Including 3 days of the 4 day visit to Germany)
HRH The Duchess of Cornwall 3 (3 days of the 4 day visit to Germany)

Weekly Update to 9th May, 2019
We all saw Charles and Camilla visit Germany, Harrys visit to The Netherlands and Annes attendance at the Funeral in Luxembourg. The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester also attended the Funeral but they werent listed in the CC and so it wasnt an official engagement for them. That is interesting as their attendance was announced before Annes was. Anne was there to represent her parents. I wonder, though, how many people are aware that Anne also visited France this week? She did so a busy week for overseas engagements.
For the first time this year Philip carried out an engagement when he accompanied the Queen to the lunch with the members of the Order of Merit. Charles usually attends this event but as he was in Germany it seems that The Queen prevailed on her husband to attend with her. What this also means is that of the royal couples the only ones who havent done a joint engagement so far this year are the Wessexs and both Kent couples. I dont expect anything from the Kent couples unless Lady Gabriellas wedding is in the CC, which I dont expect but I am surprised that the year is a third done and still Edward and Sophie havent done an official engagement together. Then again it does mean they are able to share their attention and parenting duties and cover more ground than if they were joined at the hip to do everything together. That will change this week as they have a joint engagement for the Duke of Edinburghs Award and another the following week.
Of course the highlight of the week was the arrival of Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, who unlike his Cambridge cousins, wasnt recorded in the CC. It is interesting as Lady Louise was but Viscount Severn wasnt. One of the Gloucester grandchildren was if my fading memory serves but none of the others (although that maybe that I remember the announcement of a Gloucester engagement and not a birth
when I finish my analysis from 1997 which I have just started as part of my retirement work I will have an answer to that question).
I also found it interesting that Alexandra undertook two engagements for the National Lifeboat Association which is an organisation of which the Duke of Kent is patron. She visited two lifeboat stations on Wednesday, but the Duke then did four engagements for the same organisation on Thursday.
Milestones achieved this week: Charles reached his double century for 2019 and Andrew brought up his century.
Approaching a milestone: Catherine is in the 40s, William and Edward are both in the 90s while Anne is in the 190s.

Announced Engagements for the week 10th to 16th May, 2019
NOTES:
For these engagements I am using the Future Engagements on the British Monarchy Website, The Prince of Wales website, The Duke of York’s Website and Gert’s Royals – Cambridge and Sussex pages although I am only including ‘confirmed engagements’ from there.
If a royal doesn’t appear in this list they have no engagements listed for the upcoming week in any of these sites as at today (10th May Sydney time). Engagements may occur that aren’t announced, especially by The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the Duke of York.
The engagements that were announced on the FE and have been removed I am keeping because last year that had The Duchess of Gloucester doing a trip to Spain for the tennis for about four weeks, then about two weeks out they removed it and then, guess what – that trip went ahead exactly as originally announced.
As usual The Duke of York has no announced engagements. He has announced none in advance so far this year at all.
Very interestingly when I went to the FE page to do this today underneath HM The Queen in the drop-down menu appeared Master Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. His name is above HRH The Duke of Edinburgh. What is interesting is that Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie don’t have pages in this drop-down menu and they are actually adults. There is also no pages for the Cambridge children. I suspect that this page will continue to have 'There are currently no future engagements in the system’ for some decades to come … unless he is to work for the BRF while still a baby, toddler or schoolboy while his Cambridge cousins, including the future King, are able to go through those years with no such expectation.
ACTUAL ENGAGEMENTS

HRH The Prince of Wales – 2 (Including final day of the visit to Germany)
HRH The Duchess of Cornwall – 5 (Including the final day of the visit to Germany)
HRH The Duke of Cambridge – 1

HRH The Earl of Wessex – 5 (Including single day visits to Slovenia, Macedonia and Croatia)

HRH The Duke of Gloucester – 8

Sorry but there will be a delay with the update this week as my sources for the CC aren't up to date.
The one I have come to rely on is only up to Wednesday 15th while the British monarchy website has fallen back into its bad old ways and hasn't updated since the 4th May.
When I get the details for the 16th I will put up the week.

Still no updates from either of my sources for the CC.
The British monarchy website is now 16 days behind while my other side is now nearly a week behind. Both have been really good and usually up within a day or so but it seems as if they have decided to not publish the CC online at the moment.
Until there is an update on one or other site I can't do any more analysis.

Still no updates.
The Royal Record is only up to the 15th May, which is very unusual for them to be more than two days behind but now they are a week behind so maybe they aren't going to update again at all.
The British Monarchy website is stuck on the 4th. The last time they had this sort of delay those days simply were never updated - in 2017 they missed two weeks in June including Trooping the Colour and Philip's birthday.
Very annoying.

The Royal Record is now up to date so there will be an update this weekend - maybe will be a two week one in one go.

Weekly Update to 23rd May, 2019
This is a two week update due to the slow updates for last week.
Over the past two weeks we have seen a number of Afternoon Parties, Charles and Camillas annual visit to the Republic of Ireland and to Northern Ireland (although the coverage was even less than it was for their trip to Germany so basically nil). Catherines garden was unveiled at the RHS Show at Chelsea. Lady Gabriella was married in what appeared to be a delightful family affair with the Queen and Philip both in attendance. Andrew also visited South Korea and Canada while Edward went to Eastern Europe and the Duke of Kent went to Greece and thus missed his nieces wedding although again there was no coverage as they didnt have any women with them for the press to report on their clothes and how much they cost. That is all the media seems to be interested in with regards to royal engagements these days and sadly it also seems to be what most royal watchers care about rather than the actual causes the royals are supporting.
Milestones achieved this fortnight: The Queen brought up her century, as did William and Edward. Catherine brought up her half-century and Anne her double century.
Approaching a milestone: Sophie is now in the 90s.
