The goverment information service has just confirmed that the health of Prince Bernhard is better
The treatment is recently completed and is well catching on his doctors said.
Prince Bernhard feels well and is grateful for the compassion that he has received. It give him a lot of positive energy.
He also expresses his appreciation for the reluctance of the media in this difficult period.

I am soooo happy for the Prince, his family and the Dutch Royal Family!
This is such wonderful news after such a difficult year for the Royal Family.
I hope to see Prince Bernhard and Princess Annette in public again soon!

I know that Prince Bernhard has been receiving treatments. However, I am a bit started at his appearance at today's Koningsdag festivities. He looks so frail and, obviously, has lost his hair due to his treatments.
Does anything know his prognosis?

I believe the prognosis was that he was 'clean'. So he is now getting his strength back. At Kings day he did not shake hands of people in the audience due to fear for bacterias in stage of his recovery.

Some news about prince Bernhard:
He won the GTA4 car race and became European champion. In the short interview with RTL boulevard he says it is an amazing experience as in May he was barely able to drive.

He also started the organisation Lymph&co to raise money for research for lymphonia cancer. The charity started recently and has attracted much more donations than expected. On the website the prince tells about his battle with the disease (in English):

Prince Bernhard attended the Dutch TV show RTL Late Night last week and talked about his illness. "My world stood still", he said about the time of the diagnosis, but things were better now and he does not need any more treatments.

Thansk iceflower, I missed that interview completely.
Some van Vollenhovens appear more often in evening talk shows, but usually not to talk about their personal life but about (work) projects that they are involved in. In Bernhards case it seems that he was their to promote his non-profit foundation 'LYMPH&co' to raise money for lymphonia research at the Amsterdam Medical Center.

The prince was interviewed by RTL. On March 8th there will be an event to raise money for the organisation Lymph &Co with the name 'Hollandse Honderd' (Dutch Hundred). Participants will ice skate for 10 km. and after that cycle for 90km.
