Daniel attended yesterday the SNS Tylösand Summit 2023: Creating an Environment for Growth at Hotel Tylösand in Halmstad.
Prime minister Ulf Kristersson was one one the speakers.
Daniel has attended this meeting many times during the past years.

The SNS Tylösand Summit brings together about 200 chief executive officers, leading academic scholars, politicians from the government and the parliamentary opposition, top civil servants, and union leaders. The invitation-only, one-day-long conference is held under the Chatham House Rule and is not open to the media (and that's why there are very few photos of Daniel at the meeting).

Young entrepreneurship is in focus, there will be round table discussions with young entrepreneurs and how they see the future in their role as entrepreneurs. Daniel visits also various industries.
Representatives of Gnosjö municipality and Gnosjö business take also part in the visit. Helena Jonsson, governor of Jönköping County, attends the visit and says that it will be an exciting meeting. These entrepreneurs are of great importance to the municipality of Gnosjö, to the entire county of Jönköping and also to Sweden. They create new jobs and development in their industries.

Daniel has an interest in entrepreneurship, and he has been particularly curious about what makes the Gnosjö spirit so viable. He asked many initiated questions and said that more places like Klubben by Göhlin are needed. Daniel said that today's society often lacks meeting points. Many young people sit in front of their screens at home, or are on social media. We also need real meeting places.
Emil Göhlin told that there were several reasons why Klubben By Göhlins was started. Daniel wondered how competition was viewed against companies that already existed.
After the round table discussion and the showing of the Club, Daniel visited Ung Drive, SwedeWheel and HangOn.

Emil Göhlin, together with his siblings, runs the Klubben activity facility in Gnosjö, and he received a royal visit on Monday - in the padel hall and in the gym.
- He apparently plays padel so he seems interested in coming back, says Emil Göhlin.
It had been over ten years since Daniel's last visit to Gnosjö, but on Monday the prince was back – to see if the famous Gnosjö spirit is still there.

The Royal Court put finally today, 5th September, to its website an article about Daniel at Prince Daniel's Entrepreneurial Day on 30th August.
The Prince Daniel's Entrepreneurial Day was arranged at Artipelag, by the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA) and Prince Daniel's Fellowship.
The purpose of the Entrepreneurial Day is to give young entrepreneurs an opportunity to be inspired, build networks and jointly discuss experiences.
The day began with a boat trip from Strandvägen in Stockholm to Artipelag and during the trip Daniel greeted all participants.
Afterwards, leading entrepreneurs and business leaders offered lectures and talks, interspersed with round table discussions. Among others who spoke were Tuula Teeri (CEO of IVA), Daniel Kjellén (Tink), Johanna Grimståhl (Brightnest Group), Marcus Wallenberg (Chair of IVA/Member of the Steering Group of Prince Daniel's Fellowship) and Linnea Kornehed Falck (Einride).
The Governor of Sweden's Riksbank Erik Thedéen spoke at the dinner.

Daniel met yesterday the mentees in the Prince Daniel's Fellowship's mentoring program.

And finally the court put an article to its website about Daniel's meeting with the mentees.
At Monday's meeting, which was held at Academic Work in Stockholm, mentees and representatives from the alumni network had the opportunity to meet and learn more about artificial intelligence.
Danica Kragic Jensfelt, professor of computer science at Royal Institute of Technology, and Gardar Björnsson Rova, who leads McKinsey's investment in AI in the Nordics, presented and the participants then had the opportunity to ask questions.

Daniel goes to Norway with Prince Daniel's Fellowship's Entrepreneurial Trip on 8-9 November.

Daniel attended today the inauguration of the new court building for the Göta Court of Appeal and the Administrative Court of Appeal of Jönköping.
Daniel gave a speech, where he said among other things:
"In order to gain in-depth knowledge in the field, we, the Crown Princess and I, have made a number of visits to the judiciary over the past year or so.
For example, the Administrative Court of Appeal in Gothenburg, the Court of Appeal in Skåne, the Swedish Prosecution Agency, The National Board of Forensic Medicine and police visits. It has been very rewarding.(...)
We live in a time when these values are sometimes questioned in the world around us. Then it is satisfactory to note that the independence and constitutional protection of the courts is increasingly emphasized in our country."

TV2 tells that in the middle of a presentation indoors, the fire alarm went off and everyone had to go out into the street. Daniel took it all in good spirits and watched entrepreneurial pitches from three NTNU students who have now started their own companies. He was clearly impressed by the company presentations, which were held in an outdoor amphitheater due to the fire alarm.
- You handled this very well, and it's almost better outside, isn't it? I will remember this, Daniel said to the three contractors.

Daniel visited Oslo and Trondheim together with young entrepreneurs and senior business leaders from the Prince Daniel's Fellowship, to give the participants the opportunity to acquire knowledge and network which can lead to an expanded exchange of ideas and business. They met some of Norway's most successful companies, students, entrepreneurs and innovation centers.

First day
Through NTNU, we learned about the university's ecosystem for entrepreneurship, pioneering technologies in hydropower, offshore wind technology and carbon dioxide capture and storage, and finally we met actors in the Norwegian aquaculture industry - including Maritime Robotics, SalMar and Seafood Norway
The day ended in Oslo where we, together with representatives from Norwegian business, were invited to dinner at the Swedish embassy.

Second day
We started the day with an inspiring presentation by Petter Stordalen, where he talked about his experiences of running a company through ups and downs
Later we were received by CEO Øyvind Eriksen at Aker ASA where we learned about their initiatives within the green transition
Lunch was taken at sea through a boat trip with Brim Explorer in the inner Oslofjord. Co-founder Agnes Árnadóttir talked about their electric catamarans for a sustainable tourism industry and their mission to protect Arctic wildlife
We also visited StartupLab, which are Norway's leading accelerators and incubators for tech companies
The day was rounded off with an incredible event in collaboration with Sandwater and SEB in Oslo with the theme "Sweden meets Norway - innovation and entrepreneurship cross border perspectives"

Daniel delivered today The Heart-Lung Foundation's Prince Daniel's Research Grant for Young Promising Researchers in Malmö.
New research at Lund University uses a unique imaging method for the lung's blood vessels that can contribute to the development of treatments for different types of PH.
- Karin Tran-Lundmark is now awarded Prince Daniel's Research Grant for Young Promising Researchers in 2023 of SEK six million for her research on high blood pressure in the pulmonary circulation. The goal is to improve the state of knowledge about this rare heart-lung disease, and create new treatment methods, says Kristina Sparreljung, secretary general of the Heart-Lung Foundation.

This year's grant distribution, which this year celebrates 10 years, began with a seminar on the theme Breakthrough Day. At the seminar, participants in SCAPIS in Malmö talked about the ongoing research, about new results, about the health status of those who participated in SCAPIS around the country. SCAPIS is Sweden's largest population study in heart, blood vessels and lungs. The goal is to be able to stop heart and lung diseases before they occur.
After the seminar, Daniel handed out the Heart-Lung Foundation's annual grant Prince Daniel's Grant to Young Promising Researchers. The grant SEK six million and is distributed over three years.

Daniel presented the Golden Gavel (Guldklubban) award at the Grand Hôtel in Stockholm.
In order to highlight and increase awareness of the crucial role of the chair in efficient, effective and business oriented board work, the auditing and consultancy firm Deloitte and the non-profit Swedish Academy of Directors (Styrelseakademien) founded the Golden Gavel Award in 2005.
The Golden Gavel for outstanding performance in the role of chair of a company board is awarded in two categories each year, one for stock exchange listed companies and one for non-listed companies.
This years Golden Gavel winners are Charlotte Brogren, HMS Networks, in the class for listed companies and Michael Berg, BabyBjörn, in the class for non-listed companies.

Daniel said that there were very interested looks and some questions, so it feels good. Some are a bit shy, but quite a few say that it was inspiring and fun that we came.
He also gets to graze a long queue of curious people who want to shake hands and take pictures with the royalty. Just before the interview, the Prince's hands get a real splash of hand sanitizer.
His children Estelle, eleven years old, and Oscar, seven years old, have a few years left before possible university studies. Daniel can see them studying at Lund University in the future.

Entrepreneurship is absolutely crucial for Sweden's future. But someone with ideas is needed. Which produces something that people can buy. Everything is innovation and entrepreneurship, Love what you do, see failure as part of the journey, be convinced that you will succeed and don't think too much about your product but get out there quickly and meet customers. These were some of the pieces of advice that Daniel shared with the Lunda students.
