Infanta Cristina and Iñaki Urdangarin Announce Separation; Jan. 2022

If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
Seems for now they're not getting a divorce.

I have often noticed that, with people famous either by being in royalty or only celebrity, they don't often talk of divorce straightaway, they only announce separation then after a while, divorce is mentioned.

You are right , just the same now with the Dukes of Anjou !

Which ones ? The French ones or the Spanish ones ?

The French ones, Charles-Philippe and Diana.

No reason to postpone divorce if it will be just a formality - love has died out long time ago, a couple lives separately and the marriage exists only in papers.
And when they meet in person, they just yell at each other, even while their children and other people see it.

Probably they are okay with being separate. See Karl von Habsburg and Francesca Thyssen-Bornemisza, see Ernst August von Hannover and Caroline de Monaco, see Emanuele Filiberto di Savoia and Clotilde Courau, see Juan Carlos de Borbón and Sophia of Greece and Denmark, see Charles-Philippe d'Orléans and Diana Álvarez Pereira de Melo: all examples of wedded couples living separate lives. We can not rule out Iñaki Urdangarín and Crístina de Borbón going the same way.

Karl and Francesca of Habsburg are now divorced since a few years. That confirmed by the Archduke in a book for his 60th birthday last year. He has now a new partner who with him attended the Princely Wedding in Bückeburg last year.

Ow that was new to me. Merci, never too old to learn something new.

Emanuele Filiberto di Savoia and Clotilde Courau are in a different category as they remain happily married while living separately.

Hopefully the Infanta will have a peaceful and relaxing time there :previous:

After all, if they are happy that way.....There is not only one way of living as a couple.

But by definition they are not a couple if there are other people involved.

I hope they don't follow her to wherever she is going. I'm sure she desperately needs a vacation. It is interesting that she gas kept the wedding ring. Perhaps she refuses to admit that the marriage is over. That would explain the separation announcement and why Iñaki felt he had to play things out in manner.

Juan Valentín went to see his brother Pablo's last match where he spoke about the family situation.

""I'm here to enjoy the game. Thank you very much, "said the young man at the entrance of the game. He also spoke briefly about how his family is after the notorious images of his father with his co-worker, Ainhoa Armentia from Vitoria, came to light. "Everything is fine," he said without going into more detail."

:previous: No angry profane response or flipping anyone off etc.

Only a courteous response that made it clear there would be no discussion of his family. No matter what else, the Infanta can be proud of her children.

I really wish the media would leave them alone and respect their privacy.

Poor guys.
Imagine just wanting to casually go out, yet have to prepare yourself for public interrogations over such private matters?

Just a quesiton, but, were they meeting to discuss their relationship, or were they meeting up so that Inaki could see Irene who was on vacation from school? Just a thought.

No matter what happens whether or not they get back together or end the marriage permanently, they will always be tied to each other in parenting their children. An ended relationship doesn't mean that they avoid each other like the plague or live forever more in animosity towards each other because their relationship ended. They're both adults and are capable of handling things in an adult manner.
