I found a very long, very interesting and IMO very true article in a lux paper about Tessy and the way she has been presenting herself since she separated from Louis. The journalist who wrote it must have been watching her IG very closely for the last couple of years (just as I did). I totally agree with him/her. Looking at nice pictures is one thing, but her comments are just as important, and they often show the whole truth about her.
For those who are Tessy sugars the article may not please, but for those who have watched her behaviour over the years on all social media , be it IG, twitter, youtube and publishings in all european tabloids it is just to confirm the opinion. The article is in German, therefore I have tried to translate it into English.
"Tessy's extreme attention seeking
That was to be expected! You have not to be a clairvoyant to see that little Theodor is giving his mother Tessy the much needed public attention that the Lux exprincess is always looking for. Even before his birth he was "marketed" on social media by ultrasound scans. Now we are being flooded with photos of little Theo, always in the context of what a great mum she is. The son of Tessy and Frank thus relieves the two princes Gabriel and Noah who had to keep their heads down for their mother's self representation. She just can't help it! Now little Theo is in it. He is giving "Mama" the necessary attention that a real "Insta Girl" like her needs. The young offspring is increasingly in the media focus. Here, 4 month old Theo is sitting restlessly on Tessy's knees as she picks up her podcast. His mama is still a busy woman and has to bring "job" and child under one roof. In their orange partner looks Tessy has her baby on her knees sharing with the world that she has been awarded the "Best Woman in Education Award" (some shady award in Dubai). Because Mama is a successful entrepreneur with her "PWB" and also quite active in matters of womens rights, so "Happy Orange Week"! Violence against women is never ok! she explains her and the babys orange appearance in front of the camera.
Another time she has Theo on her lap and celebrates "World Kindness Day", a day that is as important as "World Croquet Day", "World Day of the Purple Tree" or "Day of toilet paper". But you don't always have to have a reasonable reason to appear on IG and declare that you have participated in the "Challenge be friendly to yourself". It has as much ontent as a blank sheet of paper. But you can tell people in the video what it is like to be a loving mother. Because she does not forget to soothe and kiss her restless and chattering baby.
And then there was "future day" a performance with little Theo in a baby carrier in front of the Swiss media company Ringier. An event where "little kids could discover different jobs that Ringier offers". Of course behind the background of gender equality and stereotypes. Tessy explains "Of course Theo was with us too and enjoyed the conversations and games". A proud achievement for a 4 month old baby. But knowing Tessy she likes to exaggerate.
The baptism of the little one was another highlight and is clearly bearing her handwriting. Something extravagant had to happen. The baby was not baptized in Switzerland, where they are living or London where they are still sometimes living in the house of the GDF. No, he was baptized in Lux and not in a church, he received his forst sacrament from a priest of the Luxembourg Army, in the military chapel on Herrenberg. On the photo she exclaims "My beautiful angel! Mama holds you". Almost banally normal.
But its not about little Theo alone. Anyone who has paid close attention to the Insta-Girl Tessy in recent years has at least noticed that it is exclusively about herself. Little Theo was not yet born, but she told the world she is pregnant. There was a party to reveal the gender and the hint that an important role is still being played in Lux as well. Gauthier Destenay was one of the guests. He is the husband of Lux's prime minister X. Bettel.
Gabriel and Noah exposed to mocking and ridicule
Before Theo's birth the princes Gabriel and Noah were the central point of her self attention seeking. During the Corona crisis in which Tessy could no longer jet thru the world and be present at various seminars, congresses and events, the sons were a welcome steady means of exposure. In her very personal lockdown with her friend in Swiss she wanted to give many glimpses into her life. She showed how she homeschooled the princes, baking with them, playing music etc.
Conclusion: A great mother with an incredible number of abilities who can master the lockdown with her sons completely relaxed. But she didn't forget to push herself into the center, she has been seen hiking, boxing, punching a bag, doing some commercial for a fitness gadget etc. , relaxing stylishly in the garden.
Short before this she represented herslef as a corona stressed single mother who had to organize everything for her boys, keeping a tight time schedule. Because, "Mama" was involved in writing her "doctoral dissertation" in a subject named "Medical psychology". And then, the consulting company "Butterflies" which is not doing well at all, she laments. That is worrying the stressed business woman.
But in the short time that has been left she issues short little videos, uploads fotos every single day, records podcasts und puts all her new on all channels of social media and the tabloids.
Without doubt Tessy has a knack for selling herself as a caring mother, tough businesswoman, selfless advocate for education and women's rights on social networks. The sons have always been at the forefront of her presentations. Sometimes she goes too far withou noticing how damaging it could be for the sons.
"Gabriel and Noah have to learn" she suddenly say sternly, "because the both have a hard time with dyslexia". Again the picutes show it is about herself. We see her in the garden teaching the boys 40 minutes, then 10 minutes break, then relaxing on the trampoline.
Repeatedly the sons has to smile for a photo for mothers cellphone. It never looked like they could enjoy their own games and fantasies without that camera on, like teenage boys of that age would normally like to do. the princes are constantly in danger to appear on Insta, Twitter etc.
The still need their "good night story" every evening she proclaimed without thinking how damaging such a remark could be. They sure are prone being ridiculed and bullied by peers.
An "Insta Girl" since the breakup.
The Luxes have been used to a lot from their exprincess when it comes to self presentation and attention seeking. While her appearance on social media after the breakup were more largescale acts of revenge and threatening gestures towards Louis before a general settlement was agreed upon, they got more subtle after the divorce.
She has always known the magic of the princess title and that there is money in using social media. One reason more to cling to the title although she had lost it. She became an advertising icon on IG for various companies. Had her photo in a red "princess dress". Next picture shows her holding a diamond into the camera texting it " Just do what makes you happy", very irrelevant comment. But the advertising message it contained was much more important for potential customers. "My beautiful dress is from the "Little Black Dress" team and my gemstones from "Annabella Diamonds".
Then came the chocolate packet with closed eyes and pointed lips with the comment "Yummy, yummy chocolate time" followed by advertising the "W One Knightbridge Beauty Clinic" according to the premis "What a real princess likes and what she wears simply has to be very good". Custumers are lured here with simple product placement.
When advertisements were exhausted it was time to pass on personal things to the world. The craving for attention became more and more. this makes it even easier to convey a certain image of yourself to others. She found no end to her self-staging. She told the world that she lived in London, nothing special and long known. Had she not staged her stay glamorously and thus betrayed the residence of the princes, not only very thoughtlessly naive but also highly dangerous.
Coming back from Zürich for a short visit to London she published photos with friends dining at famous restaurants "My goodness it feels great to be home again".
Two restaurant visits that said nothing more than that she was in london again and behaved like a princess she is no longer.
Very annoying self portraits followed. Even such small and unimportant awards or documents had to be shown to the public (just like a proud little 5 year old) Everyone had to see how gifted she is. Every charitable task has been tampered with. Charities and events she would have never been gotten in touch with if she had not been married to Louis.
She even dared to compare herself with Princess Diana, claimed to be close friends with Harry, visited the Queen etc. The constant repetitions of her success as a businesswoman, ambassador for women, student , mother etc. are very annoying and did not help her already damaged image.
She seems particularly susceptible to real or perceived recognition on social media. The constant pressure to stage herslef has become stronger, almost looking like an addiction.
Even at the cost of suffering of Gabriel and Noh, and Theo will probably suffer too. It remains to be hoped that father Frank will not permit the "marketing" of his son.
